Last week NCstriped posted that the rake is a great tool. I have one that came with my PT.
So.... I must ask
What are the different uses for for the rake and what if any modifications make it more useful?
Just need guidance from people with more experience.
Many thanks

The power rake?
I use mine to rejuvenate gravel surfaced road and parking areas, prep lawn areas for seeding and fine mowing, distribute and level gravel or topsoil, prep trail

It's an awesome tool.

Not the power rake. Just the rake. 975F5A4D-C8E2-423B-88C8-98857DCF4229.png
Sorry - NCstriped was obviously talking about a power rake.

So far I have only used it for planting grass.
I guess it will rake leaves - I will find out.
I do hate raking by hand so that could be good put I generally use the leaf blower anyway.

The tines are not backwards....you run the machine backwards.

I get more use from the rake than expected.

Leaf raking it's great I can accumulate faster than the blower especially when damp leaves are stuck to the ground. I usually accumulate a line then blow to the destination.

Also good to prepare for overseeding and spreading light material like mulch.

Gotcha. I have one similar that goes on the front of my Walker mower. ..I just assumed we were looking at the front of your machine.

I like the short peanut tines on the one I made. They will cut into the soil nicely turning it into fluff especially clay. I call it a poormans powerake just takes longer. Use to remove rooted systems within 3" of the surface. Reshaping old and new #57 wash rocks. Scarfing the surface to create an erosion path. Leveling leaves.
