TC33D Fuel Injector Problems.

The problem is adjusting, no normal workshops does tear down injection pumps, you need very special tools and test bench to get them right. Better to take it off and have it tested than rip it apart and then send it away to be saved.

I do have a parts list with numbers for the fuel delivery valves and parts that go to each line.

I think my best bet is to get the tractor to the NH dealer when they call for it to come in.

Yeah, probably. It looks like the bottom end of those valves is where the fuel rack rides. I wonder if the rack is wore out?

That's one thing that bothers me. If a part is bad on #3 and they fix it, will that part go bad on #1 and/or 2?

The normal thing to do is to change worn parts and wear items when it's overhauled, the dealer will just remove the pump and send it away to a diesel shop, might check if it's a exchange pump available for a reasonable price.

Thanks Tazz! My friend said he thought a "poppet" valve was bad in there and the pump itself was still good. Still, probably won't be a cheap fix at the dealer.

Just to touch base, the injector pump was sent off for a rebuild. Not sure what he was talking about, but said he thought the "roller laid over" on top of the pump cam. Said he's seen it before on the TC 40. But not on a unit with such low hours.
