It isn't being in a rush, it's complacency. Do the same thing the same way 10,000 times with no problem, then once, just once is all it takes.

Watched a Dude snatch down a 30' Oak tree with a Deer 210C. It was two trunks from one root mass. NO tap root. All surface roots spread out, but nothing of any size more than a foot or so below the surface.

I took down a 30' walnut couple days ago with the trusty 555A. Took two minutes tops. It wasn't dead but dieing.

While you're there it's a good idea to ensure your PTO shaft is also disconnected. Generally mine is not a mistake that you make more than once, however.
