I wanted to be able to watch TV on our porch without running wires or cables. The distance is about 30 feet and 1 exterior wall away from our main TV. I saw some companies make wireless HDMI products where you plug a transmitter to your TV and then use the receiver on a TV or computer monitor some distance away.

Anyone have experience with this? or another solution?

That was one thought. But I think there are devices that you can extend coverage over WiFi.

Sorry, no experience with them. I'm curious what you will have inside the house and what resolution are you looking for? I had to edit this post, because when i said i had no experience, i did look into them a few years ago, so an eternity ago, there wasn't a 4K or 2K version that wasn't extremely expensive if they worked, cheaper ones just didn't keep up and were pretty short distance. But we didn't buy any and put them into use.

We use a product call HD Flow by Peerless in commercial applications & it works 95% of the time flawlessly.... However their units are pricey. You might find a good deal on a used unit on eBay etc...

We also have one unit by IOGear that I believe was under $200 for the kit & it works very well also... it would easily handle the 30 ft of distance you are looking to transmit / receive to....

I run a device from "Netgear" IOT watch 'Netflix' from my internet connection to my 4K TV.

The helpful people at my computer/TV/audio store (in my case, Harvey Norman) sold me this as I didn't want to run a cable from the modem to the TV. It's HDMI.

It works flawlessly.

The wireless HDMI extenders work. I have one. The downside is that they aren't cheap. Over $100 minimum. I think I paid about $175 for mine on Amazon.

I have a Chromecast attached to the TV in my office but I don't have cable run to it or have a cable box attached to it. I can watch TV using the Spectrum TV app on my phone and cast it to the TV.

Who is your provider? I'm assuming you aren't watching off an antenna

Just about all cable/satellite providers have wireless options for free. When I had dish we had one hub and four small wireless boxes. You could put the tv anywhere and watch live or from the DVR. Now I use youtube tv and all our TVs stream over the wifi
