Yep, I got a check from AAA for $41.30 in May. I have an annual policy rather than 6 month policy, so I'm waiting to see what it'll be when it's due for renewal the end of next month.

I got a small check when this ordeal first started but nothing since then. I really don’t expect one.

My vehicle insurance went down due to the reduced driving... mind you, I gave them a call and had to ask.

However, it's a permanent monthly reduction.

I may be paying more that most of you, since I have AAA insurance, but I reckon I'll keep it one more year. Anyway, my auto insurance policy premium was $1243 last year, and as mentioned before I got the $43 back as a refund. Well, yesterday I got the renewal notice in the mail (actual renewal date is 10/31) and the new premium is $1339. So it's $139 more than last year:eek: Now I've had no traffic tickets, no accidents, etc. so I guess they need more money for all the claims they're going to have in California.

I have my homeowners insurance to expire/renew on the same date as the auto insurance, and AAA website shows that they have sent the renewal notice, but I haven't gotten it yet. So I don't know how it will compare. There's been a little mass confusion lately because we've had a reverse mortgage for the last 5 years, but a couple of months ago, they offered to redo it at a lower interest rate, and give us more cash up front. I don't recall seeing anything about the insurance in the reams of paper involved, but AAA says the mortgage company paid the homeowners insurance for one quarter.:confused2:
