Hello all - thank you in advance for any help you are able to provide. I have a 2015 Mahindra Emax 22 HST. My brother in law was mowing with a midmount mower yesterday when, without warning (no wierd sounds, etc.) the power steering stopped working, followed by all other hydraulics (bucket, both mid and rear pto, 3 point) including the hydrostatic transmission. The tractor now starts up just fine, but can't move forward or backwards, can't lift the mower, can't lift the bucket, can't turn the pto, and can't turn the steering wheel (well, not easily). Hydraulic fluid looks clean and the level is in the middle of the window indicator. The shaft that runs from the engine toward the rear of the tractor (apparently to power the hydraulics and the rear wheels) is spinning when the engine is running.
I heard that some tractors have a relief valve on the hydraulics. Could that be the case on my Emax 22? Or are the hydraulics gone? Is there a separate pump that supplies hydraulic pressure to everything (HST, steering, loader, pto, 3pt), or is the pump integral to the hydrostatic transmission? If the pump is separate, is it located under the seat?
My powertrain warranty lasts a few more weeks, but my dealer told me that a hydraulic pump wouldn't be covered but the HST would... so, I'm trying to figure out where the problem lies and if it is part of the powertrain or not.
The dealer was stumped when I described the problem.
Thanks for any clues!
