Instead of a five year warranty A more flexible one year would be better.
Even just a 90 day no questions asked return would work well for Me.
from my experience If a new machine survives the first month. It will
continue to run for years

That is good for you but not everyone. But that is why people have choices.

I have to ask which HF welders do you have? Black, green or orange? I dont know about the black ones, but the green and orange weld very smoothly. I have seen lots of complaints about the black ones having mostly to do with arc quality.

Pre-sale conversations and/or recommendations against buying are irrelevant. If the product failed through no fault of the buyer, the manufacturer needs to make the buyer whole. Smaller companies can make their mark in the field by going above and beyond what larger companies might do. Be different. Be better.

We do, we offer a 30 day satisfaction policy. We offer a lower price, longer warranty. Sure there are some things that aren't going to make everyone happy. That is why we are upfront in our warranty policy and make it easy to find on our website.

I guess you can constantly move the bar as a customer as to what you "expect" a company to do, but when it is defined.

What you think a welder company should do to make someone 'whole" if something breaks is a matter of conjecture as well and irrelevant as well if you buy the unit, you agree to the terms of the warranty and sale. What a non customer thinks is irrelevant too.

I always try to make sure that the customer goes and reads the warranty if he has questions about it rather than just offer a blanket summary statement.

Now,

If you have buy the cheapest two wheel drive truck you can find and take it and drive it in a manner not intended or recommended by the manufacturer by taking it off road, do you still expect them to pay for your towing when it gets stuck or breaks down?

How did UPS handle it for you?
They walked away from my issue!
Left me with zero resolution.

No, I have not ever had a package not deliver from UPS with my business out the house and this with 100s of deliveries. So, I can't speak for their product resolution only their perfect delivery record. Where is the wood to knock on?
