Tractor
Kubota L48 TLB, Ford 1920 FEL, 8N Ford, Gravely 12 HP "Professional", 48" SCAG Liberty
The JD 110 TLB, and the Kubota L48 share similar vintage.
Machinery Trader shows 3 - L48s for sale, and 19 - JD110s.
As a rough comparison, did JD make/sell approximately 6 times more JD110s than Kubota made L48s?

The jd110s are all worn out and nobody wants them......

Kubota dominates the small tractor world in general. That's not to say other brands aren't good but, Kubota builds very good machines at a fair price that simply work exceptionally well for most people looking for the typical small tractor.

The reason you don't see that many for sale is people don't want to let go of them. My B2601 is the last thing I would consider selling. I expect to use it instead of an electric wheelchair when/if I get that old and feeble!

One could look at your question with many different thought... maybe supply and demand or try flood market against there competition.

Machinery Trader shows...
Pretty sure I read that Machine Trader is OWN'ed by John Deere (or something like that...) The fact that you see anything other than John Deere is most likely they were taken in on trade or bought by a JD dealership. Don't take this as fact, look it up...

Well......there are also only the same 3 L48 TLBs elsewhere on the internet.
I seriously doubt that JD controls all the JD and Kubota listings internet wide.

I would not be surprised if a great many more JD 110 were sold,
they were also sold to a different market.
Most of them were used as commercial machines, very few went to homeowners or typical compact tractor buyers.

I searched for sales numbers and couldn't find any. I suspect JD's numbers were a LOT higher.

What you suggest makes perfect sense!

I live where there are a lot of tractors and probably a average amount of construction equipment. In construction equipment I see Kubota skid steers and mini excavators but I think I have only seen maybe one L48 sized Kubota. I rarely see and smaller type TLB on a construction site at all.
