The way I do it when approaching a signal light is put my right foot between the gas and the brake and punch one of them hard depending on a non-linear calculation that I quickly run in my head.

Now that I understand!!!

And I'm one of those miserable old sobs that will start to slow down if a light has been green for awhile so I can easily stop when it turns yellow without jamming on the brakes.

A nearby town years ago had one stoplight. Red yellow green as standard ones have going north-south. Green yellow red (inverted) going east-west. I suppose it only took 3 bulbs.

Speaking of driving habits,
lets take this a different direction.
Just got my renewal billing for my automobile insurance,
so I started calling around for quotes will likely be changing companies again did it about 5 years ago for several $100 yr difference,
getting the same differences again.

Now for the question has anyone used Right track or a similar program were you plug in a monitor that records
your driving style and sends the information to the Insurance company.
I'm hearing a 10% discount just for agreeing to use the monitor for 90 days and then possibly more of a discount after.

Sounds like Progressive to me. If my insurance company found out how slow I drove, they'd have to pay me....

My employer installed a combination dash and driver cameras in all our big trucks/semi. Certain driver actions initiated recordings for so many seconds prior to and after the event (hard braking, etc.) I made the mistake of watching a head on collision video on my PC one day. It still gives me the willies. Mack vs Ford Ranger.

Jethro.. You know how to tell if a big truck is built to run or if it s a woosey truck without looking at the door jamb sticker for the final drive ratio and transmission type?

Uh oh.....I ll bite.

We ran about 35 day cabs hauling 25 ton bulk feed and broilers on two shifts. Mack, Freightliner, Sterling, etc. Not the pretty long haul ones going across country. We did contract out about 25 of those loads a day.
