Oil & Fuel JD 2020 Fuel Line Replacement? Help!

2020 JD Tractor. I replaced the front metal fuel line (top of the line was leaking)

1. my (leaking) issue is where the fuel line (hollow screw- see pic below) screws into the fuel injection pump. [i'm dealing with f. line that's behind the pump that's about impossible to get to]. there are 2 (180 degree) holes on the Hollow Screw that: screws into the pump attaching the fuel line to the pump- and one of the hollow screw holes must line up with the fuel line. when i line up the screw hole w/ the line it leaks (not rotated enough) and i cannot get another 1/2 rotation to tighten the screw enough to line up the other screw hole to f. line... hope this makes sense.

I used two (2) washers on replacement (one each side of the oval fuel line connection). I only remember taking off one (1) washer- are 2 washers on the oval fuel line required? any one have any thoughts here. i'm stumped.. TxJim?

Are you SuRE the hole in the bolt must line up with the fuel line? It appears to be a bolt for a banjo fitting. The fuel would flow all around that section of bolt into the hollow of the connector. Fully tightening that type fitting would stop your leak and the position of the hole wouldn't matter. Look carefully at the fitting through which the bolt goes.

You need both washer ,Maybe the bottom washer is stuck to the pump or fell off..You dont have to line up the holes

Fully tightening that type fitting would stop your leak and the position of the hole wouldn't matter. Look carefully at the fitting through which the bolt goes.

The fuel line tip that connects to the injector pump is a banjo fitting. I tightened the bolt and engine ran fine for 2/3 hours.. then i couldn’t get max power. I loosened bolt a smidge and then it ran max power again? I’m perplexed

End of fuel line that must be connected to f. Injector pump looks just like this banjo fitting. Hollow screw above would go thru that opening.

Ditto location of hole in attaching screw is immaterial. A washer should be contacting both sides of line. Mounting are must be free of any type foreign material. Utilizing aerosol brake/choke cleaner is helpful. I can't remember the correct screw torque BUT screw needs to be very tight.

2 washers are contacting both sides of the fuel line. I tightened the bolt and engine ran fine for 2/3 hours w/ no leak.. then all of a sudden i couldn’t get max power or engine wouldn't go over 1500rpm. I loosened bolt a smidge and then it ran max power again? any ideas?

Loosening a tad might just have dislodged whatever was causing flow limitation.
If no leaks, leave it be otherwise re torque.
