Pardon a stupid question from someone who lives where home air conditioners are not that common, but why do they do this? Are they trying to pull a fast one by charging for a top of the line unit when what was installed was the "economy" one?

I went to buy a new microwave a couple of days ago at Harvey Norman and several were out of stock that I was interested in. The sales manager said "2 weeks ago we only had 4 on the shelves, big delays in shipments at the moment". He said next shipment was due in December.
Anyway I bought a more expensive one and very happy with it. Lotsa nice features. New model and best of all, Aussie brand Breville.
My wife had given me strict instructions... NOT black, Not a Panasonic, Not a LG. Our last LG blew the magnetron 4 times in 3 years!

Mrs. Slim's kitchen stove died (controller) a month ago. Appliance dealer said 3 weeks out for the one we (she) wanted.

It's supposed to be here (they're installing) tomorrow.

We'll see I guess?

I'm considering spend several thousand dollars upgrading my offroad buggy. Haven't brought the subject up yet though.

I guess we were lucky... we bought a new, sort of high end range for the kitchen late August, and the salesman told me 4 weeks but I was suspicious. He was dead on. :dance1:
