That looks scary... did houses get lost?
100s of structures have been lost between the Cameron peak fire, now 4 miles from the city limits of Loveland and colorado's largest ever fire, and the calwood fire just to the south of us which has burned 9000 ish acres in just a few days. the picture is of the ridge above the city of loveland. we could see the lights from the fire trucks and the trees catching. Calwood to the south is also visible in a similar manner.
luckily the last couple days have been cold and wet. not a season ending event but certainly has allowed the fire fighters to play a little catch up and plan the next attacks.
there is also the left had canyon fire a little more south and west of here.
