Santa Rosa Fire Department - Advisory

*Smoke Visible From Glass Fire*
Smoke from the #GlassFire is visible in the hills to the North of East Santa Rosa (Oakmont) and has generated over over 100 911 calls to police and fire dispatch centers. The area involved is 2 miles inside the containment line and is being monitored by CAL FIRE. THERE ARE NO THREATS. With the current Red Flag Conditions, including low humidity, winds and hot temperatures, residents can expect to continue to see unburned pockets of fuel generate smoke well within the burn area.

*Red Flag Warning Extended*
The Red Flag Warning has been extended for the North Bay Mountains until 8 a.m. Sat. 10/17, and for the interior valley areas until 6 p.m. tonight, 10/16. Read forecast details here: srcity.org/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=1189

Here in Sacramento we were a little inconvenienced by the smoke. But it was nothing compared to the damage done by the hurricane in Louisiana. You couldn't pay me to live along most of the Gulf Coast.
