The great pig chase of 75
Another young buckeye pushing the pig. My oldest brother, dad and youngest brother.
In background is our old 60 something Chevy truck with straight 6 engine.
We got it used from dads welding buddy named pete.
One time mom was driving as we were picking up hay on the hill above the house, and the brakes went out. Down the hill it went, we jumped off the back. Think that was the last time she drove picking up hay.
We became friends with the family of one of oldest brothers college roommates. They lived in next county over, and we would visit. I think my brother got a ride home from college with him and we would go pick him up. Got to their house one day, or rather the turn before their house, and the brakes went out. Went down thru their yard before dad was able to turn it uphills and stop. Don’t remember the brakes going out again.
It soon became a farm use only truck. We would drive it back to our cabin some nights (before we had driver license). Eventually the bed rusted, and dad built a wood bed for it.

we used it until around 2000 (2002 pic)Until the whole frame broke. That engine was the best.
It got moved to the scrapyard in the woods, (2007 pic)until some years ago, when scrap prices were high, someone bought it for scrap.
