13 degrees and a couple inches of snow this morning. 3 divisions of fire fighters kept the fire west of bear lake road yesterday while battling 60mph + winds and spot fires. no impacts to the estes park valley. now predicted to get 12 to 17 inches of snow by tomorrow morning.

That's good news. Should slow things down at a minimum.

Our snow ended yesterday afternoon - 4 inches. Right now, at sunrise, crystal clear and 16F. I guess we better enjoy this early snow. Weather prediction for this coming week..... mid-50's.

Our swings have been extreme here as well. We were 80F Thursday. Supposed to get snow tonight, 1" or so.

Yep. The 2000 odd firefighters from all over the country and Puerto Rico are getting a couple days to rest and eat. I hope they are getting big steak dinners. The incident commander is saying they don't expect much fire activity for several days at least. It's really a miracle that the storm slowed down and is sitting right over us. I'm not very religious. But our prayers really were answered. So much devastating losses in grand lake and other towns though. We won't know the full extent for some time yet.

The firefighters, hurricane relief, and healthcare workers all need a deserved break after this year.

If you prayed, you are spiritual. That's what matters.

The PGE Bucket Trucks are deployed all over the Oakland Berkeley hills in anticipation of tonight's PSPS event.

Near me I saw 5 trucks with operators napping... could very well prove to be a busy 24 hours starting this evening with even evac recommended for hill areas.

I've brought in a lot of smaller items susceptible to high wind and hoping for the best with generators gassed and at the ready.

Looks like urban centers pretty much unaffected.
