Time to fiddle with the clocks.

Great... now I live even further into the future than most of you lot.

I'm still looking for the data that shows that daylight is actually saved with DST. I call it Daylight Losing Time because I'll lose an hour of daylight in the morning.
And as I mentioned in the 'other' thread... depends on when you want your light? On your time or others, again depending on your job/occupation.

It値l be black dark at 5:30 here tomorrow and pretty much dark at 5:00.

I dunno......

I was just outside, crisp m chilly, and almost as bright with the clear sky and full moon as it is on some cloudy overcast days!

It's a 'blue moon' or a 'Hunter's moon'. Second full moon this month in October.

And it depends on if you live in the East or West of the State/Province/Time zone.

It's happened every year except one for as long as I"ve been around, you'd think that I would be used to it.

I'm not.

I didn't know they skipped it once. I wonder why? I've also often wondered, why do they do It anyway?

I was always told it had something to do with farmers kids and chores?

Then I heard they didn't want school kids standing on the bus stop in the morning in the dark?

This much I know, it's easier to leave things the way they are then to change things.

I can barely stay awake past 9 pm now and that's my body reacting to the work and darkness. I'm gonna be fighting to stay awake tonite at 7:30.

I'm not getting into it but, I read a book a short while ago called Time. Kinda physics, kinda philosophy, kinda crazy.

What i'd like is to go to DST and just never go back.
YES YES and YES!
The wizards in Washington apparently have never had pets or livestock who痴 biological clocks (like mine) operate best in one time zone year around..

My problem is I've got aftermarket stereo head units in 3 of my vehicles...and it takes me an hour of reading instructions and fiddling with buttons to figure out how to change the time! Too bad my grandkids live so far away - they'd have no problem knowing how to do it.

Not necessarily a bad thing. I'm a morning person, but sunrise at 4am in May/June is a bit too early for me.

Yeah, it seems that the guys that design those get their kicks coming up with ways to make functions as non-intuitive as possible. Not just aftermarket either...the clock in my Can-Am ATV is a real PITA to set.
Some newer cars (my wife's Buick is one) automatically updates.
