Good morning!!!!

34°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 59° today.

Hoping the best for your wife, Bird.

Kyle, Bridge of Sighs is one of those classic rock/blues albums that it seems everyone owns. Robin Trower is one of those guys whose music and sound is instantly recognizable. I've always wanted to see him live, but just never have. He used to play several times a year here in St. Louis at the old Mississippi Nights venue. The guy was perpetually on tour. Seemed every time he was there, though, I was playing somewhere that night. I always thought, "I'll see him next time." Still haven't.

I always tease my Wife before relieving myself outdoors that "I'm a man ... the world is my urinal." Her typical response is, "Gross."

Our old satellite modem that we recently replaced used to lose internet connection on occasion and need to be power cycled to fix it, RNG. That was part of the justification HughesNet used to replace it with the new unit. Almost seemed like it was a known issue.

I am about 600 feet from the road, but during winter the cover is not thick enough for me to be out in public taking a whiz.

Unless passersby are using binoculars, I think you'd be OK...

34F and "fair" (sunny) @ 10:00, headed up to a high of 43F.

Lots of activity this morning around the bird feeders including the ground hog, squirrels, and birds. Also have a couple of customers over at the squirrel feeder ... one on it and another picking around on the ground below it. Gonna be interesting watching them play King of the Hill. Glad to see it was not disturbed in the overnight.

The Woman did clean up on debris in master bedroom bath then worked on removing wallpaper. Gave removing linoleum a shot but that didn't go anywhere, I snuck in there later and got some done on it. It's about half done, but what is left is stuck very well to the floor ... the top and middle layers will come off using a heat gun ... but the bottom layer and the mastic that was used to adhere it ain't budging.

On agenda for today:

More research for bathroom remodel.

Make list of what is still needed.

Later when it warms up:

Unload rest of Menards order out of the van.

Move pallets of retaining wall block out front over to pole barn.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ...

Many of our fields are close to the roads and seeing as how I usually take a leak hourly during the day quite often it's just outside were I am,
step in next to the tractor and do my business and get back to work :dance1: :drink:
And on that note I think I'll have a cup of coffee before I go back out to the shop and do some welding

   / Good morning!!!! #122,025
... Not sure what I will get into today, probably clean / organize the shop.... It has gotten into a little bit of disarray with all of the woodworking, not as bad as RS shop, I can still see the benches, but I don't want it to get out of hand....

LOL ... yeah ... you don't want to let it get that far out of control ...

Starting tomorrow, the State of Ohio goes under a three week mandatory nightly curfew from 22:00 until 05:00.

It won't be enough to stamp it out, but it might slow it down enough to keep the hospitals from being totally overrun ...

I could go in the front yard in the wide open, 200’ from the road, and they’d need binoculars to see!

Drew, I actually have a Charlie Brown tree.

70°F and no rain

Priority of effort is to replace hot water heater at cottage. Old unit is Takagi TK Jr, New is TK 110U. Supposedly a direct replacement, but might require fiddling with the water pipes. Hope not. Nice drop in would be good. All solid copper hook ups on old unit, no flex fittings. If not a drop in fit I’ll likely need to make a trip to town.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Bird - our thoughts are with you but get the Mrs.to the ER, anything below 80 would seem like and emergency to me.

I understand, but she sure does not want to go to the hospital, and I understand that, too. So she's sitting in her favorite spot on the sofa watching TV and I just now checked and her oxygen level is 96. Of course she has on the oxygen line to the big machine that she uses here at home, day and night. And she has the small oxygen bottles, valve, hoses, etc. that she ALWAYS uses when she leaves the house. And of course she had that portable stuff yesterday, so that's why we don't understand why the low oxygen level that they claimed AND she said the nurse told her that her heart rate was way too fast. When I checked a few minutes ago, her resting heart rate was 40.

Nah...the dog and I both go out at night...I just pee off the back deck...just gotta be aware of which way the wind is blowing...

I find when house training a puppy, I tend to join the festivities during the mid night visit to back yard.

I tried peeing off the back deck when potty training the shepherd and getting up with her in the middle of the night.

She was more interested in the stream I was making Nothing like having to dance around in a circle to avoid the dog.

LOL, I can relate. Learned to stand really close to the chainlink fence and find appropriate spot to avaoid splash back.

Reminds me of old joke in Germany and an American lady seeing a German fella so engaged beside his Mercedes and commenting.
His reply “Danke”

Gas prices were $1.95 two days later $1.88 gallon.
Not much plan for this evening, dinner recliner share bowl ice cream with kittens watch some Geo. Nat.

Well the water heater proved interesting

Guy at plumbing supply told me the remote would show error codes. Researched and barely mentioned in manual, but a table of the codes.

So after I collected everything to do the swap, I also took the remote. John assured me it was still hooked up, but they endured cold showers.
Hooked in the remote and all it showed was the Temp setting. As said, no instructions so I’m guessing any error codes must just show if appropriate. Had John turn on the hot water faucet, fan kicked in. John confirmed it did yesterday as well. Short time later the burner fired. After short wait, John confirmed we had hot water. Tested a few more times over a short period. John quite perplexed but did admit to removing and cleaning contacts for computer board. I have seen before so not overly excited. Put it back together.

Now freed up to get back to project. Working on the window trims.

The redo is done

Well today at a doctors check up found out I had an embedded tick on my chest. The cardiologist dubbed it with alcohol to make it loose the grip and pulled it out. Took the med Doxycycline to avoid Lyme infection

I went through that routine a couple of years ago, thankfully I never had a problem.

I wouldn't even try now. She's 80lbs and thinks the funnest thing out there is attacking a water stream and chomping her way to the source....
