Nice place and good job for a first try on the video! Bet my first try would not be that good.

.

I'm not a camera guy or a drone guy so I'm just learning both..

Good drone video, you either flew those before or your a quick learner, I'd probably crash it. Wonder how they'd work on scouting for deer......

I actually did that today but no deer.. I flew it almost half a mile away down to the far end of my property... started getting scared of losing it and came home without looking too much!

I seem to have best luck sawing popple when it sits for a year before I saw it, cant wait much longer there wont be anything left saw and stinks to. I dont like it but I see no other good use for it...
I agree about the smell, in the last couple of years I've sold a few wheeler loads to the LP mill in New Limerick. It still has that same smell when you buy it as OSB...

FWIW...just the bark of Tulip Poplar trees can fetch upwards of $6 a square foot (that's not a typo)...the wood itself is mostly used for interior moldings and mill work...
It's about worthless for firewood as it burns very fast...

It's a different tree than what we have up here though. Apparently though they all make equally poor firewood.

Maybe thats ok if one dosn't want a hot fire, just a fire to look at through the stove window.

I would not say our Poplar burns cold, it burns hot if you give it enough air. As starter kindling wood that is what I want and all I use it for.
