Post driver for a class 1 3 point

   / Post driver for a class 1 3 point #11
I have a Danhuser T3 driver that mounts on the tractor loader and runs off of the 3rd function valve. We use it to drive 2 7/8" oil pipe down 4 to 6' into hard clay. Cost about 2K new. It can take five or so minutes to drive a 10' piece of pipe down so I have about 4 and a half foot sticking up, but they do not move after that. The bigger drivers are faster, but I am not going to do enough fence work to justify one.

I've got a lot of fencing going up shortly and have looked at the T3 driver.
How much adjusting do you have to do with the tractor as the post goes in? My concern is the arc of the loader as it comes down.
Thanks for any insight you can provide.

First two feet you have to may attention to the angle but after that just put the tractor in neutral and it will stay straight. One day I am going to make a rail guide for it to run on to make it easier to lock the posts in so I can run it by myself, otherwise you have to have a second person to hold the post up to get it started.

Thanks again, I may have to look at these again
