I agree, but with over 800 businesses closing per day and over 300,000 small businesses closed since February, that痴 going to be an uphill battle.

As you and I both know, folks living on the land pay a lot of attention to seasons and growing cycles. And some even go so far as to believe that things like history and business, policy, politics, and economics also go the same way - that is, they also go in cycles. Sometimes the cycles line up a little differently is all. If that is really how the world works, then a swing back toward more small businesses might not be a battle at all. It may be just a matter of time.

Every year I find myself wishing that Summer and Fall will never give way to Winter, but they always do. I'm beginning to see that the trick is not to hold on, but to get ready for the return.

Don’t misunderstand me, I hope you are right!
The point Im making is that we have a situation where its not a small business friendly environment.

I didn't disagree. In fact, I agree. Weatherwise, we aren't fully into winter yet, and it's already cold enough to be uncomfortable. Small businesswise, I'm hoping that we have hit bottom and will not be getting any worse; maybe some are already rebounding.

Automotive builder seem to have the emissions stuff figured out but the tractor builder are way behind the emissions curve. it's like they expect the end user to be the test dummy. Don't play that game either. I do my part for the environment every time I throttle up my M's, they blow off black sooty smoke and I feel good about it.

My dad always told me, he said 'son if there ain't no smoke, there ain't no fire and if there ain't no fire, there ain't no power'.

My 3406 Cat keeps the pipes black too.

I watched an episode of Gold Rush, can't remember the engine (cat?) but a water pump was throwing fits so they did a DPF delete and the parts were exactly the same as the DPF on my '09 F250. I think there's a lot of cross pollination because it's probably more economical for them to adapt the road systems than build their own but at the end of the day they are used a lot differently so it might bite us the consumer in the butt more.

I found what is probably a black market Kubota Diagmaster code analyzer for 8grand with all cables and latest software and endless license.

If the rail was overpressure, the sensor will have to be renewed. It's a one time thing.

Get it? Gonna rent it out to "friends":D

Great idea for when my warranty runs out. Im on a Willys jeep forum and the group has been passing around a $100 custom made steering wheel puller for years. Each time the sales price drops $10 and the buyer pays shipping. Terrific camaraderie there.

In reality there are a select few that manufacture the emissions components, Donaldson, Bosch and a couple others and they sell to all the engine builders. None of the tractor builders build their own, it's all second and third tier supplied. Kind of like air bags in vehicles. You remember the deal with that (still ongoing).

Lets hope so. I dont feel like we are entering an environment that is small business friendly.

It was more than dirty fuel. Had error code for high pressure in the rail system, a new solenoid fixed it SCV.

I suggest that you measure loaded mode fuel supply pressure. Adequate fuel supply pressure is needed to avoid fuel system cavitation issues. M7060s have a problem in this area and if you use it under full load conditions fuel system cavitation can occur causing injector and or high pressure pump problems. If used under low load conditions, the problem will probably never be noticed.

Two things I know about my newer truck
It does have all the pollution control devices on it
I use it very hard, so Im pretty confident it will keep those systems hot and burned clean.

Buddy of mine is a Ford tech and says the most problematic Tier4 diesels are the ones that get used for light work or pleasure vehicles.
