NY got Inspectors goin around makin sure little nozzle latches can't function cause politicians sure public too dumb to pump gas. Politicians are right. Windshield scraper handle works good on nozzle.

The reality is if you want $20 in gas on a prepay pump, you go in and hand them a $20 and tell them what pump you're on, I'm still not exactly certain why you need to leave a drivers license when they already have your money. If they program the pump for $20, the reality is you can't put more than $20 in. I actually hate this method myself as it seems if you prepay with cash, the last 30 cents out of that $20 seems to take forever to get to on the pump LOL

I know it's a single location local situation but here in town there is only one place to buy off road diesel...it's a BP station...the pump is all the way across the lot and there is no card reader at the pump...prepay is required and it's a long walk if you have to go back and get change or your card back...

Usually a pay at the pump truck stop will let you select tractor or refer, the refer is not taxed (off road) from my understanding. Otherwise same at my local place for off-road fuel.

Prepay $20 and the pump shuts off at $20. You can't get more, so why leave the license with the clerk who just copied your name and the number off it.

Off topic..... the guy that pumped gas before you sneezed in his hand and left his sneeze droplets all over the pump handle. You wiped your face or ate a candy bar after using that pump.

Every year we go camping in a little town of Cottonwood AZ. Population 12,000. There is an old gas station just outside the campground that the pumps are not controlled. You pump your gas and then go inside and tell the owner how much you got. He has no electronics to verify what you tell him. It is amazing because he probably gets customers for all 50 states and many that are dishonest.

My wife went into the supermarket to buy a lettuce 2 days ago. All the lettuces had had their outer leaves removed. My wife asked the girl why? She said, the boss told us to.
My wife said, "But everyone handles them and I won't buy them like that." The girl replied that she would go out the back and get one for her that wasn't stripped, which she did. Not sure why the boss would strip all the lettuces unless he had horses or pigs at home and wanted free feed for them. Very unhealthy practice especially in these times.

It is worse when you see a snotty nose kid picking themslves and then handling all the fruit and veges while her mum is doing the same and doesn't care what the snotty kid touches.

Worst of all is when that snotty nosed kid is riding in the cart which the next person is going to put their groceries in... that's just one reason why I always grab a basket.

I handled half a dozen tomatoes (many were half done) before picking one yesterday.

**** about germs and saliva (Small children). Was in a store pre covid and some kid starts sucking on the handle of my shopping cart! A reminder of what you resist, persists.
