I rarely ever wear a cap, and I enjoy my hair looking decent.

:D

I get it brother, I just try to keep my hat looking decent
I will put the longer guide clips on the clipers in the wintertime for additional insulation, but the first day it hits 50* I'm out in the shop with my clippers. Now my face and chin, that's a whole different story. :D

OK, I have gone 11 months now without a haircut, and my daughter has found some pics of me before she was born, with my hair just a little shorter than it is now.

Back then was my "hippie" days.

I was going to go in and get my hair cut when the shops began opening last summer, then my neighbor told me that his cousin and wife got the covid cooties when they went in for their first haircuts, so I decided I would wait, and the longer I waited the longer my hair got, so I started thinking maybe if I was to wait long enough, maybe I could donate my hair to cancer survivors. It is now below my shoulders.

I am not sure how long they need it and what parameters they take into account, I do know several people have told me that they do not want dyed hair.

Mine is just natural, gray........

Anyone have any thoughts?

There's an organization called Locks of Love that makes hairpieces for children. They take gray hair and colored hair. They don't use the grey hair in the hairpieces for children, but sell it to offset their costs. They'll take permed hair too. They won't take bleached hair. There's a FAQ on their website that answers a lot more frequently asked questions. They need the hair to be 10" long at least, I believe. There are other organizations that take hair as well.

My children had hair down to the back of their knees when they were young. Around age 12, they both donated quite a bit. They both did it several more times after that. Takes them about a year and a half to two years for it to grow out again.

It's a good organization.

I go to my 82 year old Cuban barber.
He does a very nice job.
He needs the cash.
I need the haircut.

I will say my hair during COVID was the longest since junior high school when it was past my shoulder tops, and now the shortest since 1st grade now that I'm buzzing it myself. Saving some cash not getting it cut at the 'Men's Club' near the Navy Shipyard, by Korean ladies. I really miss the head and neck massage at the end that was standard. I didn't mind tipping them. :D

My last store-bought haircut was February 6th. We had a haircut kit at home which had never been used. Got it out and my wife has been cutting my hair. She does a great job - my haircuts are much better, so won't be going back to town for haircuts. Saving money, saving trips to town, looking better - what's not to like.

Same here, Last commercial haircut in Feb. But I bought one of those do it at home clippers sets, and have been "training" the wife. First one wasn't perfect but we are working on it. And I am an old married dude that doesn't have to impress anyone with my looks, so I don't think I will be going back to the barber shop even when this is all over.
