There is no Tier 5 for North America. The latest rules were set in the Federal Register dated June 29, 2004. Stage 5 Europe has not been carried into North America.

Takes a lot of nerve asking for tier 5 when tier 4 is junk they still cant get right

I'm not aware that Tier V has been adopted in the US and could not find anything to support that it has.

Because it isn't adopted... Exactly why I said: "soon to be", because it will come, probably faster than we expect.

Slightly old article but still valid: https://www.equipmentworld.com/are-you-ready-for-tier-5-emissions-regulations/

New 2021 tractors already meet Tier 5 in Europe, so I'm pretty sure it will be a matter of time, specially considering that California is the one in the lead of these emission regulations.

Your comment inferred there is a finite schedule for the implementation of Tier 5 in North America which is incorrect. You are entitled to believe that it is coming which is a far different and less certain outcome.

Sure glad I don’t have tier 4 tractors. Burning soot creates more greenhouse gas. Turning a small problem into a big problem. Gas engines and Diesel engines are fundamentally different in the type of fuel yet covered by same emission standards.
The same size fits all is going to hurts small farmers. Chore tractors are used in short bursts for a wide variety of tasks some requiring different Hp.
Overall being environmentally friendly is the goal. EPA doesn’t consider the big picture of cost and emissions of maintenance, fuel efficiency, regeneration, and end user production impact. They should if their goal is to protect the environment. A snap shot of emissions is not the same as total emissions over the operational use. We need to do better. That’s why your hands on experience dealing with policy regulations and equipment is important. Like to see a simple soot trap that could be emptied and the carbon sequestered in my soil. Need more engineers and scientists than politicians and lawyers.

What will hurt small farmers more than anything is if the gubmit makes pre Tier-4 tractors non-compliant all at once (Non-DPF tractors MUST be taken out of service, not “grandfathered” until taken out of service). Few small-medium farmer could survive that.
Grandfathering pre tier 4 would allow all of us old dinosaurs to die off and then the new farmers could have their new tier 4/5 zero emissions tractors with soot traps.

What Id really like to see these globalist clowns do is enforce the same oppressive regulations on China and other industrialized countries instead of forcing onerous regulations on westernized nations only.

Now will you ‘scuse me while I unbox this Chinese solar panel? :D

Made by One-Hung-Loe industries no doubt. Guaranteed to expire as soon as the warranty expires and will be in a landfill before you know it.....lol

Until tree huggers and environmentalists get their heads out of their poop chutes, I'll never buy into T4 anything or electric cars, trucks tractors or anything else while China continues to use high sulfur coal (a bunch comes from us btw) and quit polluting the water and air and quit unleashing virus' on humanity, then I might recognize the green crap but not until. Won't happen in my lifetime so I'll keep on making soot and liking it just fine... In fact, when I throttle up any of my diesel engine and they smoke, it makes me feel good I'm doing my part along with China in causing atmospheric harm. They don't care, neither do I. Same way when my steers fart, I know the methane is causing issues to some tree hugger somewhere. I like it.

Far as I'm concerned (I'm not) you can take your T5 and shove it somewhere warm and stinky....:D

I find it arcane that Kalifornia has the strictest pollution mandates but is the most screwed up state in the Union. I'd be all well and good if it broke at the San Andres fault and slid into the Pacific Ocean..... Tomorrow. No loss.

Don't be so jealous. It's a matter of time, till your California shove the T5 up yours... :D And I bet it may be quite painful like they did with the California registered highway trucks. Forcing them either to swap the engines or the trucks.

I think they did it with heavy equipment, too. I got a backhoe from California in 2009 dirt cheap because owner told me it was no longer allowed.

It's actually amazing how they can get away with crazy mandates like that.
