The problem with limited slip is that one tire still needs to be able to get traction. I don't have a lot of use for it, all that it seems to do is kick the rear end sideways, often into the ditch. My Colorado has the G80 posi and decent tires, and goes a lot better than my Silverado with limited slip and decent tires.
My sierra has gone wherever I wanted it to go, and has pulled a couple people out. But it also has the limited slip rear end and is 4wd

i dont want anything that thinks for itself. i can engage or disengage 4x4 as needed. i dont need a thermostat that i can program with phone. i dont want to pay bills online. i long for the days before you had to be in constant connection all the time. ohoh...what did i do with my phone. i had it 3-4 hours ago. i better go find it.

i wondered why its been so quiet today

True, and it seems like young people today (now I sound like an old poot) they have to have something going all the time, phone, texting, music, etc.
Whatever happened to just enjoying a nice quiet day and actually having quiet contemplative thought?

Don't get to spend a lot of time at my house these days but when I do it's nice to be unplugged...

I manage a building a the city had an upgrade program tenants signed up for and owner can decline only if owner is paying gas and electric...

The old mercury thermostats gone with digital in there place.... now no heat with low battery... porch lights replaced with compact florescents so tenants call when light bulb goes out...

I guess it's progress but in reality creates service calls and expense for owner.

I agree with all of the above except that I do pay my bills online... I've had insurance canceled a couple of times because it took several weeks for the postal service to get around to delivering my check. Not good when I was working away from home for several weeks at a time. :(

Used to enjoy sittin in parking lot behind sidewalk & guardrail car catcher sippin my coffee as people in fancy 4x4 find out wheels still bein twisted by automagic tranny for dummys don't know to use N gear before brake.
Jeep for few years had special P gear took off widout driver when it wanted to. One girl I know had her Jeep drive thru garage door onto snowsled while it warming up in driveway.

Hear lot about smart cars gonna be self driving. Pretty sure dats gonna take a while but bumper cars we already got.

The thermostats that need batteries are really special ! Had one of those today, got a low temp call, boiler was fine, heat on main floor was fine but the fancy battery powered thermostat hidden behind an open door kept the basement cold enough for a call out, the old mercury rigs never did that !

I didn't say it wouldn't, just that it tends to kick the rear end sideways.

What I used to use for weight was the inner tube for the rear tire of a Massey 175 filled with sand. It fit behind the wheel wells in my full sized pickup, and when frozen it wouldn't move. Of course once I put it in it was there until spring, but it gave good traction.
