Grease Gun Recommendations

Unless you are using a powered caulking gun for massive panel adhesive projects, I do not understand the need, or even the want of one.

I do not see how anyone could ever do a professional caulk job with one.

I have an air powered calking gun that I even forgot I own. Maybe when using cheap calking guns, I thought it was a good idea. Using good quality guns and especially a sausage gun, I can't see the need for power dispensing. Heck, even my Glazier friend that does hi rise towers doesn't use one. You really wouldn't want the extra weight either. The alluminum sausage guns weigh very little.

It helps me to do a better job, I also have the manual one. My only complaint is if the caulk is going bad it will make a huge mess inside the piston before you know it.

I bought the Ryobi caulk gun when I built my shop several years ago. I used it for about an hour and decided a manual caulk gun was less trouble and much lighter. I returned it.

That's my opinion on battery grease guns.

I have stuck with manual grease guns too. I have one with the flexible hose and lever and one with the rigid pipe and pistol grip. I use the the rigid pipe and pistol grip for everything on my tractor and most fittings on other equipment. I need the flexible hose gun for one fitting on my lawnmower and a couple of fittings on one off my trucks.

I have the m12 grease gun and if it died today I would get it again tomorrow or m18. I use it on my dozer, bobcats, and trailers. I dont use it ever day or even every week, but monthly. And when I do i need the psi to do it. and hand cranking it doesnt have the psi i need.
