Good morning. This is going to be a washout day, rain already lashing at the back door, unlike yesterday when I was the one making everything wet with the jet washer and had the rare please of the sun providing a couple of hours of warmth on my back while I made rainbows.

I am partial to an oak smoked kipper or cod. Never tried apple wood - however good it may be, I doubt it is worth the risk of being caught felling in my wife's little orchard.

Nice work again LS. Your kids are lucky that you have the talent to make heirloom quality pieces. DNA is about the only thing my family would pass on to the next generation.

Randy, having had things stolen by scum a few times, I can relate to how you felt. Always admire the way you get on with life when bad things happen

The other day Rick mentioned something called Texas Toast. Not heard of that before, but fancied toast for breakfast and always ready to try something new

You’ve got quite a sense of humor!

Where I used to live in NC there were no TBN members within 40 miles. Now it's nice there are a couple of other guys
within half an hour of me. I'm sure I'll meet Ken at some point. And Ted used to live fifteen minutes from my current home.
I grew up in and worked in Middle Bucks, now I'm on the edge of Upper Bucks, which is more rural, farmland and woods. That's the area
Paul and Ken live in. All the smart people "went North" to get away from the congestion the closer you got to Philadelphia.

If I ever buy a home with any appreciable land on it again, Upper Bucks is where I'd find it. For now I will be happy to plant a big garden in
the Spring. Guess that means I'm back in the fence business. Many of the larger properties nearby are completely fenced in, deer do so much damage
to landscaping. Maybe a large raised garden, nice to be able to sit down on the wooden edge. Long and narrow to have easy access to rows.
Without a greenhouse any more, have to wait until Lowes/nursery plants are available. Everything got going March 1 in NC, here it's a full month later.

:laughing:Eric, in this part of Texas, at least, Texas Toast is just thick sliced toast. We buy it frozen, and keep it on hand all the time, some that's already buttered on both sides and frozen; just pop it in the skillet to heat and brown it a bit.

Our LOW temperature this morning is 41 degrees and it's stayed the same all night. The forecast HIGH is 42 degrees. Yep, that's not a misprint; same temperature all night and not expected to change more than one degree today. It started raining here at 5:45 a.m. and is expected to rain off and on all day, but not expected to get a total of more than 1/2 to 1 inch.

Well, so much for the predicted Snowmageddon! They were calling fo up to a foot, and we got less than an inch - LOL!

The snowblower on my tractor is still waiting for some action.

At least the coffee is good this morning!

55-66 today, light rain now, heavy rain tomorrow and Wednesday, might briefly turn to snow Thursday wee hours.

Dftodd, my one grandson also plays basketball, baseball and soccer. It’s a lot of fun to watch them do well.

Mostly, moving on is all I know how to do.

I actually need to do some work today after church service. However, Ellen is baking cookies today and they will surely call my name as soon as they’re done.

Morning chores are behind so I gotta go.

Prayers for all.

Roy, you may have posted good morning in wrong thread.

LS, nice woodwork.

Drew, my favorite wood for fire is cherry. Lots of it here. Smells good. Apple would be second. When we were in TX and AZ mesquite was good. I use mostly oak in my smoker.

Phil, no snow in my area of MI yet that has stuck. Maybe some next week.

Alien, I have some Ridged tools. Most of them come from Direct Tools Factory Outlet. They do not offer a lifetime warranty. None of the tools I bought from them have failed. Probably not available in OZ. They also sell Ryobi and a couple others.

Eric, that Texas toast will work if it is soaked in garlic butter.

Kyle, when we traveled to TX and AZ this would be the time we would pass thru your area. I would stop for one of those pork chops. Looks good.

Prayers and best wishes for everyone.

Good Morning All.

Ron, we enjoyed your visits. Prayers for your son.

Eric, I'm laughing and amazed. You nailed it. If I had to cutout a figure of UK's island, I might get it about 5% near rough shape. :) Like Bird, I believe the best Texas Toast is pan fried with a pat of butter. There is a bakery about 25 miles away, that makes amazing wheat bread, that makes awesome Texas Toast, French Toast, sandwiches, you name it. It is called Weikels. Says they ship nationwide.

Weikel's Bakery - We Gotcha Kolache (Kolaches, Cinnamon Rolls, Pig-in-a-Blanket and other Czech pastries)

Mostly, I wish I could meet all of you in person. Since Don moved, I've lost my nearest "Good morning" neighbor to a bit further away. Now I believe, Rick takes over that....and I would like to meet him in person too. Rick, congrats on the sale of your Sugarland home. Sorry about your buyers, and sorry for your former neighbors.

LS, super nice furniture work. You have talent.

My kids are part of today's Christmas presentation by the youth. Because of Covid, it will just be a narration, read by the children. Have to be at church on time.

Got some more parts for the Steiner Beast installed yesterday. Will update that thread.

Hope all of you have a blessed day. Prayers for our team, and our Country.
