UPS and FedEx are about equal here.

BUT

Had a package delivered by USPS to my home.
They pulled up the drive and left it on the back of my boat under open shelter .. no problem..
Went out to get the package and they left my standard mail on boat with it.. Not acceptable!
I have a mailbox, the mail goes in it!
Just laziness I guess..

We get USPS packages delivered to our door also and he gives us our mail as well. Dont find that lazy just being courteous. Saves us a 1/2 mile trip to the mailbox.
We have UPS ans FEDEX. Both are doing the best they can in uncertain times. Both fdrivers went from getting home from work around 6pm to after 10pm most days.

I've had my share of UPS problems.
From tracked parcels showing' out for delivery' 6 days in a row to 'improperly packaged' (but they complimented me on my skills when I drove 30 miles to the depot).
Latest is to hang a parcel on my garbage box hoping I'd find it B4 a thief did.

Post office is no hassle. I signed a waiver so the postie can sign for registered on my behalf.
Heck she even sends me a Xmas card! (LOL, I always gift her at Xmas)

FedX does OK by me, heck once he got stuck so I pulled him with my CUT and next day had a nice gift as a thank you.

UPS seems to sub contract to local small outfits a lot and they are unpredictable. Leave a card for me to pick up 20 miles away only to find the package is not there yet.
Note I have a waiver signed at my door just to avoid those problems.
Guess he can't read.

Yes I understand the gesture and that's great.:)
But to come home and find your mail scattered across the yard or rained soaked from a thunderstorm.. would be a XXXX moment. Especially if it was important documents or something like that. One side of my yard borders a large open field off to the west, northwest.
Which is the direction of the majority of thunderstorms that blow in. The wind rips across it towards my house and shelters ..

Got de Informed Delivery thing from de Post Office. Like Postmistress said a few years back "amazing what we can accomplish wid a barely literate work force". Like dey say, if it fits it ships. Not even God knows where it winds up but it did ship.

If you miss de Memo, FedEx, UPS & Post Office all in bed together, dey hold package tradeoff at rural locations to save duplicating miles traveled. Drivers all Union members and don't none give a d a m.

I hope they get paid by the hour. At least around here those drivers put in rather long days this time of year even before covid.

To be fair, those services are straight out right now, and I'm sure a lot of these temps are only minimally trained (with tight deadlines).

Can't say I've ever had that happen. USPS has always put any mail inside my porch when it didn't fit in the mailbox, UPS and Fedex have always done the same. Maybe you need an obvious safe place for them to put it.

They can leave it in my mailbox
The mail was ordinary size, just left it on my boat with a package under the edge of a open shelter.

You should most definitely email your Postmaster telling him bout de terrible service yer carrier performed.
After you hit SEND kick back and ponder how many miles & hours you gonna spend getting your packages from PostOffice. Guarantee carriers gonna put you on list of Special Customers. Probably share wid UPS & FedEx guys too.

I doubt that they'd share it with the competition, but I have found the USPS quite responsive the few times I've needed to complain about something. Quite a change from maybe 30 years ago.

I am waiting for a small USPS package shipped from Sandston, VA on Dec. 5th.
Tomorrow will be 10 days, and tracking still shows enroute.
Shipping distance is 649 miles.

If the package did actually arrive tomorrow, that would equal 65 miles per day.
I believe that the pony express could have done better!

I'm still fighting amazon for the $150 refund and the $50 return shipping they forced me to pay. I've resorted to hand written, no spell check letters. First 2, return to sender, address unknown. (that was a good song). So far, 6 months.

I am happy to say that, after 6 months, i won my credit card dispute with barclays. I disputed a $40 charge that morphed into a $350 bill with the fees and interest. Every time I responded that i would never, in my life, pay those fees etc.

Nothing was happening and the fees just kept growing. I took 2 hits on my credit rating so my insurance rates are going up. Try to straighten that out!

Went to some gov web site, filled in some forms, all the sudden, all is forgotten, alls well.

They are ****** and if you don't stand up to them they will crank you just as hard as you let them. I probably spent thousands of dollars of my time, energy, emotion etc. It would have been much easier to just pay the $40

F. them, come and get it!

Now, i gotta go beat up amazon. Amazing, i have friends, male friends that almost worship amazon.
