Hint- a 12 year old could bicycle to the local gun shop and buy a pound of black powder and a roll of waterproof fuse and not raise any suspicions or questions.

And you could drive to school with a gun in the gun rack of your vehicle.

Good evening all. very flat temp profiles today. 35F for the start, fog/mist. calm wind. Fog/mist during day, light wind, and high temp was 36F. Forecaster thought we might see a flake or two of snow, but did not happen during daylight. Cleaned up ashes and stoked the fire in insert, store run in town shelves are well stocked. Nap and YouTube finished the afternoon.

Billy haven't you received a lot of rain recently?
Lou hope you don't have to go out in it
Mike hope you and wildlife weather the storm ok
Paul thanks for the info, sounds expensive. Sauces also burn easier than the meat. Best burnt ends I have had was in Rolla, MO at Johnny's smokestack. When he start he harvested his hickory wood and selected the cows for butchering. I think he had a deal with local hog farmer.
Kyle when I started my job, worked from scissor lift 25 feet up installing compressed air pipe and hooking up to punch press.
Thomas good luck keeping toes warm
RNG glad trip went well, deliveries were there hope no water damage. what will you do without the old Kubota wanting to be worked on :)
Ted sorry no shop time, maybe today?
Ken sorry about pesky day job
PJ sculpting would be frowned on here.
David sorry about your plans getting upended. I agree if someone says no then go to next on list.

Drew sorry about the road salt. Glad visit went well with ex.
Bill glad good trip except for the trucks, and good to hear other cat are not freaked out yet.
Randy that is a lot of rain for 3 days.
Roy hope you have fun handling the snow with new tractor
Dennis had a box and heating pad in garage for outdoor cat in winter. Had to nail rug down over it, and box would have top to it. Our Macaroni Grill went belly up 6+ years ago.
RS good to hear progress, good luck with hot water valves. During winter if working an car had to ban cat, he thought it was a great idea to curl up on me while I was on creeper, but hated all the movement.
Prayers for all, especially Jay/Peg, Kyle's daughter, David(moss)/remodel/divorce, RNG/fire, Ron/hearing/son/furnace, Jim/sister & family, Phil/wife's eyes, Randy/health, and Country
stay safe and healthy you all.

Up until 9/11 I could go to the local hardware store and buy dynamite, all I needed to do was prove I was over 21.

Now I cannot get potassium nitrate, yet back 25 years ago they were almost giving it away.

Rswyan, aren稚 bathrooms fun

Oh yeah ... plumbing is a real treat, generally ... just glad I'm not replacing that 4" cast iron drain pipe ... :D

I was kinda surprised though ... didn't notice much in the way of sewer smell even with the pipe open.

But Squeak apparently has a much better sense of smell than I ...

7 degrees right now...high at 20 today...
Snow forecast is still at about 10"...plus windy (gusts to 30+ MPH). Like Buckeye, I drive 50 miles to work...south. I work a couple miles from Claremont NH and they're looking at 13+ inches.
The wind gusts on the interstates (I-89 and I-91)...well, I went through a couple whiteouts last winter...scary! I think tomorrow will be a good day to work from home...and that's my plan at the moment

Boy...it's 0243...been awake for about 20-25 minutes...way too early!

Wet and wild outside this morning, glad to be back inside eating a bowl of porridge.

Eric - more stoggy ??
Ken, sorry, my bad spelling. Stodgy = dense moist food, often hard to digest food

Do the English eat their horses ?

Don't think that is illegal, however I can't imagine any slaughter house would accept a horse even if it did have all the traceability paperwork to show what drugs it had been given over it's lifetime.

A lot of people in the UK have inadvertently tasted horse meat. A few years ago the the food standards agency were carrying out routine tests on some beef burgers and discovered they were actually 100% horse. It lead to a huge investigation where it was found in many cheaper ready made meals imported from Europe, beef lasagne was actually horse lasagne.

David, our tv vaccination coverage is mostly the opposite, maybe yours will turn out more positive too as more get vaccinated. For example, one of the most watched programs on our tv is "The Great British Bake Off" (No horsemeat - or stodgy food - allowed:)). The senior judge, Pru leith, is 80 and has just been shown smiling while she stood in line waiting to receive her jab and then afterwards saying it was painless.

Eric; The senior judge, Pru leith, is 80 and has just been shown smiling while she stood in line waiting to receive her jab and then afterwards saying it was painless.
I am more concerned with the side affects. Remember Thalidomide.

Have a safe day all
