Down to my lovable little red Mahindra with FEL, and backhoe.
In 2006 I bought a new Mahindra Model 2015 4WD with front-end loader and backhoe. It has been an absolutely wonderful little tractor. It now has about a thousand hours of engine time.

Even though it has lived much of its life mostly protected from the weather, the paint has mostly turned pink. The decals are slowly peeling off. The dashboard placards and shifter area placards have de-laminated. I'd like to replace all of them.

I've been doing touch-up stripping/primer/painting nearly every season for about the last 10 years around all the markings. I'm at the point where I now want to put all new decals and placards on the tractor, the FEL and the backhoe.

Does anybody know where I might be able to find new decals? I'd also like to replace the dashboard and shifter area markings/placards. So far, I haven't found anything on-line, including the Mahindra site, Amazon, Ebay, etc.

Thanks,
Knute

Edit -- addition to original question.

As I'm looking at what else I need, I'm wondering if anyone knows what the headlight bulbs are in these tractors. A number of years ago I purchased a pack of six. I'm down to one.

I'm wondering if I can replace the entire headlight assemblies with H6054 sealed beams. The connector seems to look a little different, and I'm wondering about if they would mount the same way.

Thanks,
Knute

Peter,

I can, and probably will do that for the decals on places like the hood and various arms on the FEL and BH. I've done that on other restores over the years.

It is the laminated pieces on the dashboard and in the shift levers areas that are going to be the biggest problem. The replacements need to fit into indented areas.

Thanks,
Knute

I think they can do that also, print and cut to size and shape....

I bought my 2615 in 2005, and tractor Andy also has close to 1000 hours. He's still shiny red, except for the pink loader, and the pink backhoe.

I have the same situation regarding the dash decals. I recently discovered those are available. Considering the high prices on other parts, I was just slightly shocked to see the price on those in the link. And this is just for the right side. RIGHT DASH DECAL FOR 2615 MAHINDRA TRACTOR (19672934000)

There is no way I'm going to pay to be robbed for replacement decals. Surely there must be some way to print your own, or have some done at a sign shop.

AB -- yes, that is a crazy price for that small piece.

I once owned a printing and graphics company. I still have reasonable computer graphic design skills. I have decided that I'm going to develop a graphics file necessary to have a sign shop cut black-only vinyl lettering for the tractor hood, loader arms, and for the backhoe.

I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to do for the dashboard placards, but I have made an outline of the left and right panels using #18 copper wire that I scanned so that I have a starting place for developing new graphics. I'll do the graphics over the winter. Same with the graphic pieces on the fenders for the PTO/Shift Pattern and for the 3-point hitch overlay.

Right now, I'm thinking I will put all of these pieces into one graphics file for silk screen printing on heavy duty outdoor label material. I will probably design it for hand cutting, rather than die cutting by the printing company. That way, they can be laid in place and trimmed with something like an X-acto knife if they don't get glued perfectly.

If and when I get these done, I may offer the graphic files for others to use. I've always got way too many projects, so I'll just have to evaluate if it is worth making them public, or even possibly for sale.

I just purchased the right dash decal for my 3016 for 10 bucks right from the Mahindra dealer. It has the "rabbit and "turtle" on it along with key positions.
I don't know what's so special about the 2015 dash decal unless it's embossed plastic but when looking online for my decal, I went to the same "Bill's Tractor" site you provide and my same decal was $11 and change. He was getting 23 and change just to ship it so the grand price with tax was close to $37.

My dealer waits until he has a load of shipments coming in so he gets free shipping that he doesn't pass on to the customer.

Hey knute_m - if you’re still around, did you ever get that graphics file for the 2015 dash labels finished up? I just acquired a 2015 that needs dash labels.

Thanks!
