I believe you're correct. He recently commented on a welding post and from my limited knowledge of welding, his information seemed good.

He definitely knows about welding. That's when I got really frustrated trying to understand him... there was a good discussion about welding rods which I learned a lot from, and it would have really been nice to know what he was saying.

It’s close enough to ‘redneck’ that I understand him just fine.

I think (removed) is as sharp as a tack, and I enjoy his cajun lingo put on.
While in the USN, I lived in cajun land for a few months.
Great people/great food!

I understand talking cajun. I just wonder if they teach the spelling and grammar that (removed) uses in the school he went to. If my parents were around, they would slap me if I wrote like that. My Dad routinely said that he paid taxes for me to learn in school and that I had better use what I learned. Maybe some schools are teaching spelling and grammar that way or maybe (removed) needs some remedial education.
Kind of reminds me of Alec Baldwin's wife and her fake spanish accent when she was born in Boston.

Some of the biggest rednecks I ever met are from Newark Valley, NY... Great bunch of guys!

Isn't that what's know locally as "Swamp Yankees"? After watching "Southern Comfort", I am very leery!

When we moved to Virginia it was the first week of July. Brand new surroundings, house in the middle of 80 acres, and so black at night you can't see your hand in front of your face. Closet neighbors several hundred yards away. The second night we were in the house, probably close to midnight, all of a sudden there were gunshots everywhere, and all bam, bam, bam... I about *&%^ a brick. This went on for 10 minutes it seemed. Grabbed my Benelli M4 and out the door I went, in the pitch dark. Circled the house, looking into the tress, wondering what the h ell was going on and where did I just move to. Anyway... I get back to the front door and my wife is standing there just laughing, what? I said. Without missing a beat, she says, Hey numbn*ts... It's 4th of July!!!

Your old lady knows you well
