Kubota BX23S
I've got slopped wooded property I'll be using the BX and backhoe to make 6 ft wide trails through. All uneven ground. I will be getting delivery of the tractor this week. I am wanting to order wheel spacers to add to stability. The tires are loaded. Any recommendation as to either 2" vs 3" spacers? Seems like 3" would be most stable but might look weird? Also, I would like to protect all critical components on the bottom from branches and stumps and would like a skid plate. Thanks for your recommendations!

Think I've seen posts where 3" spacers interfere with wheels on mower deck.

According to Bro-Tek, 1.25” will work with 54” and 60” MMM, 2” is 60” MMM only , and 3” will not work with any MMM deck. I have 2” Bro-Tek spacers and they were a great upgrade. I also have their under armor. The installation of the BT under armor sucked. BXPanded installation looks much better, but you have to remove completely when using the MMM, whereas part of BT’s design stays on when using the MMM.

Please get very comfortable with your machine before you start playing on hills. We don’t want you to be another rollover death story. I find that my backhoe is much more responsive and easier to use at wide open throttle (WOT). You shouldn’t go WOT for extended amounts of time during the 50hr break-in period, so take that time to get used to your machine before you start playing in hills. Your BX can kill you if you let it. Have fun and stay safe.

I forgot to mention that I won't be using a MMM. So the mower deck won't be an issue. Thanks i7win7

JK22 I too am leaning towards the BT 2" spacers. I'll take a look at the BXPanded under armor. Thanks for the break-in period advice. I can't be reminded enough about safety when operating this machine. There are so many different scenarios. Remind me every day! I don't want to get complacent. Thank You!

I bought a pair of spacers for my son in law's new BX23S last summer. Ebay, amazon and Walmart all sell them. They are inexpensive and well made. Check for posts on the subject here or over at OTT.

These spacers were for a Jeep but work perfectly on the BX, both my BX2200 and the SIL's BX23S. They are hubcentric, which is not required or the BX, but would enable them to be doubled up, if desired, on a tractor. 2 inch for the SIL and 1.25 inch for me, as I have a MMM.

Price was under $60 delivered for a pair. I think I got mine through Walmart on line, and his from Amazon.

Sorry I do not have a link handy. But there are threads with all the details if you search here or OTT.
