Are All Kubota Front Wheels/Tires Garbage, Or Is It Me?

I guess my dreams of a "Do it one time and forget it" fix are dashed. :(

Trying the tube plus latex sealant combo .. lets see how that goes. Tearing down a burnt house in the next couple of weeks, so plenty of nails to test that solution.

What dashed it, couldn't find a tire dealer to foam fill the tires...... Next best option is have a manual tire changer, tractor dealer can charge $50.00/flat fix.

I apologize in advance for the negative thread subject, but I seem to have bad luck with Kubota's front tires.
SNIP
So does anyone else have problems with their front wheels? My rears have been good, but not the fronts.

Nope. I've been on TBN for a long time and front tire problems are not a common subject. As far as Kubotas, they aren't any different from any other front tire. Our land is real rough, with sharp rocks and steep. We use our front loaders hard. After half a century of tractor use, front tires never have been a problem for us.

I have never heard of half the front tire problems you are having..... on any tractor. For sure I've never seen a properly inflated decent tractor tire roll off a rim. That's downright frightening.

But if you are having those problems you sure should change something. Frankly it sounds to me like you are tearing them up by running them flat or low pressure or overloaded. A good place to start would be to check often that you are running recommended pressure for the load.
I carry a tire gauge and a battery-operated compressor.
luck,

I agree but Kubota made a running change on the BX fronts to address shortcomings and I did buy a set of the replacement rims with tires from whole goods...

The original OEM BX23 tires were having lots of issues and short lived in the line...

I had to put tubes in my front 750/16 AG tires or the tire bead would break and go flat, but only doing FEL work, IMO AG tires are not good for FEL work.

The conditions that led me to foam the B20 fronts were not from tire quality or design. More from operators not paying attention to inflation and tire hazards. Once you drive on a flatten tire is hard to ever get a reliable bead seal. Tubes work but prevent future diy plugging. I find centuries of iron in the ground from pioneers, horse drawn equipment, old buildings, fencing, to still sights. Never experienced a downside to foaming the fronts as they seemed to cushion as well as a pneumatic tire that size.

ATV tires and other implements have dozens of holes from blackberry and multiflora rose thorns all reliably plugged and inflation maintained with liquid sealant. Also think the liquid sealant helps sealing around tire plugs from bigger punctures on off road equipment.

It is doing a fine job so far! Leaky tires aside. It is only a single story wooden building.

There is a place called Gensco that looks highly intriguing... Repurposing decertified aircraft tires. Go from 4 ply tires to 20 ply plus!

Check it out! Has anyone used them? Any comments if you have?

Super AG Tires
We use them at work. Got some fronts from them for a big 2wd Deere with used aircraft tires on them. No flats or problems since doing that.

Son's L3940 still has all the original Titan tires on it, R4's. It has almost 2500 hours on it and 95% of the time it's on about 8000 sq.ft. of concrete feedlot and a dirt road going back and forth to the hay shed for round bales. He has two new tires to go on the front as the rears hardly have any wear at all. One front tire has a tube the other does not. So no they're not all garbage. Front wheels/rims are garbage only if you don't keep them torqued.

Put used aircraft tires on the front of a Ford 4500 backhoe. Thread was not very deep but had no flats. Good flotation tire.

I have had the Gensco tires and was totally pleased. I had a good supply of thorn bushes that gave me a hardy supply of flats daily - sometimes 15+ at a time. One set of the Gensco aircraft tires stopped that problem cold. At that time they offered 14 ply and 18 ply.

Granted, it's been a while since I bought them but at the time they were $85 'out the door' for the pair already mounted on rims.

Yep, the ones at work are through the first layer of belts on the one side, going to run them till they start leaking (IIRC they are 18 ply), then put a new one on.
