JaMarcus Russel was the worst flop ever. Drafted first and never amounted to anything. He got a few million dollars signing bonus and I guess he figured that was enough. Sad, because he did so well at LSU.

I'm hoping that this is also in 2022. Neither of these guys really wants to retire. They love playing football and beating each other's records. Neither one needs the money and I know Brees would accept a much lower salary again to remain on and leave enough salary cap for the Saints to keep other top players.

As much as I like seeing them play, who amongst us would risk a serious injury? At their age, it is going to happen for sure if they stick around too long.

Very good point. These are the “official” injuries Tom Brady has had in his career. His wife says he has had “a history of concussions” but he has never officially had a concussion listed. I’d be most worried about concussions.
