Leonard Fournette was more of the offensive star than Brady. Although I still think he was bobbling the ball on his rushing TD. That was a questionable non-call.
One thing Brady does very well is avoid the critical turnovers. He hides his eyes (where he’s throwing) from defensive backs.
The TB defense was opportunistic, too.
The real reason for the win was the all important lopsided number of turnovers going TBs way.

LoL...lots of Monday morning armchair quarterbacks...!

Tipped balls that get intercepted are just bad luck...what would have made this game even more lopsided is the fact that refs were clearly homers for the saints and more importantly mistakes by the Bucs defense (in the form of called penalties) that several times gave the Saints a fresh set of downs when otherwise they most likely would have been punting the ball back to the Bucs...Also there were also a few blatant face mask penalties by the Saints that were simply ignored in favor of calls against the Bucs...

Buc fans can only hope that the officiating crew in Green Bay won't all have grown up as Packer fans...!

As one watching the game and not caring who won, I didn’t see any officiating discrepancies between sides. Lots of holding by both sides. My comment to my son was how dirty some of the saint players played, one time punching a TB player and not getting called.

Only about the third game I watched this year.

Yeah I didn’t see much except the bobbled ball TD by Fournette. Hope that’s not too blunt or succinct.....lol

Now the OTHER game (Chiefs/Browns) had a HUGE missed call/non-call, when Chiefs safety Sorensen met up with a head- first hit on a Browns running back right at the TD pylon, jarring the ball lose. This resulted in not only a fumble, but a turnover when the ball went through the back of the end zone. This probably cost the Browns the game, because the Browns would have had the ball 1st down on the goal line. Instead, the Patriots got the ball on the 20. That was pretty much the point of no return in the game.
Leading with the helmet on tackles is a point of emphasis on all levels of football. Meaning any suspicion of it and it will be called. Our coaching staffs had to undergo coach training to coach it out of football. I didn’t need the training because we always coached head back, no leading with head when I coached in HS and college.
A welcome change, I received numerous concussions playing LB and RB and actually being coached to “ put my head down, 2 arms around the ball, and accelerate through the line “ decades ago. LBs taught to use helmet to jar football lose. Now we coach the “ peanut punch “ to dislodge it and coach more of a rugby style tackle.

I heard Brady will have been to 14 AFC/NFC Championship games in his 20 year career.

That is the most amazing stat ever.

Seems he doesn’t have to be the best player to get his team success. And that, in my opinion, is the greatest thing anyone can say about an athlete playing a team spurt.

Agree. He doesnt commit the biggest errors too much which is interceptions and fumbles.

LoL...If you don't know how to watch for them (bad or ignored calls) you won't see them...on several occasions Aikman cited "light calls away from the ball"...all went in favor of the Saints...It's a moot point since the Bucs prevailed but it does not mean it didn't happen on multiple occasions and it was very apparent early on to anyone who has the ability to see and realize them...

Typical fans listen to much to the talking heads and if they don't bring something to the audience's attention it's overlooked...!

The reason for the favorable calls for the Saints is to forever make up for the non-call obvious PI they missed that cost the Saints a playoff game.

No less should be expected from the team that committed one of the worst policies ever in modern professional sports...

As a Seahawks fan, I'm not finding any of the remaining teams someone to root for. Maybe Buffalo?

I think I would like a Bills-Bucs Super Bowl. Not sure who I would be cheering for.

NFL trivia question...

Obviously none have won (so far)...What other teams have made it to either the AFC or NFC championship game from the current (Super Bowl) hosting city?

Because no team from the hosting city has made it to the big game it also means that if an AFC or NFC championship game was played in the (Super Bowl's) hosting teams stadium...the visiting team had to have won said conference championship...

Although I agree, I cant imagine that those would be the teams, especially IF Maholmes returns 100%.
Concussions are quirky. I remember having them and continuing to play (BAD). My son has had 2 playing on his college steam. One was minor and was able to return to play in a week. The other was way slower return to play. Can KC go all the way with Henne? My guess is Maholmes will return.

The other thing is the NFL would hate that match up because the markets for those teams are some of the smallest in the NFL. The GB/KC matchup will create far more viewers. I know it sounds like conspiracy theory, but the NFL wants a GB/KC match up, especially in a financially challenged year where viewership is generally down because of, well, you know,...

Yeah whatever. You always have been the best name caller on the site. I’m telling you right now a KC/GB Super Bowl turns on more TV sets than a Buffalo TB Super Bowl.

Read this while you hang out with Olive Oil.

LMAO....FYI...adjectives are not proper nouns (i.e., names)...or maybe you read that as Deloris...?

Hate to tell you this but if all you're basing your silly analysis on is your own assumptions you could not be more wrong...

Now if the Patriots were still in the mix it would be different but Brady likely has more NFL fans (from the north east) pulling for him than Mahomes and Rodgers put together...!

Yep, when the argument is lost, the loser always starts pointing out misspelled words......

But there’s no way the #28 and #20 teams ranked by national following draw more people to TV screens that the #2 & #4 most nationally liked teams.

NO FREAKIN WAY Popeye
