I still have both of my Cub Scout knives.
I'd carry it on my belt to school. The nuns would occasionally ask to borrow it to cut something or punch a hole in leather, etc... it was just normal. I was the only kid in my class in scouting and I was the only one carrying a knife that I can remember, all the way until my last two years in high school. And those weren't Cub Scout knives.![]()
Any school official observing a child carrying a knife of any type would have a coronary nowadays. I carried a knife all thru school. Every male child did, and some of the females. Things were different then. And a heck of a lot better if someone asked me. But of course no one did.

Yep... Every guy in my high school carried a Buck or a Schrade knife on his belt... and a pack of chewing tobacco or Skoal in his back pocket... olGee whiz... the good old days.... :confused3:
