I drug a log out of the woods once with a chain about 25-30 ft long! Nice huh?

I'll do you one better, I just left the log there in the woods. Didn't bother me a bit either.

BTW, was the chain 25-30 ft long or the tree?

And why only once and what was he drugging the chain or tree with..............

Worked on cleaning up after my wind blown tree came down, what a mess. Some extended family wants firewood, they must never have burned a Lombardy before but they say they will take the rounds. I am still on the small sections, nowhere near the 8 foot diameter stump end. Cutting this is a trip hazard, I will bring in my rake grapple soon and get the small stuff to a burn pile.

Might be Trigg tire chains. First I heard Krpan winch, is your's the two rope design or push button remote? Vitli Krpan

Two ropes design, it work, but need two persons if the log is far. If I have a more professionnel use of it, remote control is mandatory!

I don稚 have even one pair of gaiters or snake proof boots.

So they must not be a big deal to you either.. and I know Texas has a couple snakes..

Trust me, I leave a lot in the woods!!

The chain was that long, not the log.

Well I was not "drugging" anything, I was dragging it. And only once because I normally cut my trees on the edge of a clearing so I can pick up the logs with a grapple and carry them.. they stay cleaner that way!

I think drugging is when a person pushes a log into the forest with a chain. Just a guess.
