Replacing Water Pump on 1966 Massey Ferguson 165

Hello! I am in the middle of replacing the water pump on this tractor. I've removed the four bolts on the cooling fan which I thought would allow the fan to be removed. However, it seems like the nut on the water pump shaft holds a cupped washer in place which in turn holds the fan on.
Do I need to remove the water pump shaft nut to remove the fan? I'll attach a photo at my next opportunity.
Would appreciate any input from those of you out there working on these machines! -

Hi again forum folks - I've attached a photo the fan/water pump assembly referred to in post above. I removed the four bolts on the fan; the fan did not come off like referenced in my shop manual. Do I need to remove the nut on the pulley of the water pump to remove the fan? Plus, I'm wondering if the nut is reverse thread?

Did you try tapping the fan?..
