No tractors today, but I did cut down a big tree. I'm thinking this one got hit by lightning, it had a big spiral crack and looks a bit burnt inside. I'll take another look when I cut it up and split it.
Tall one in the center of picture below. No they aren't easier to cut when they grow sideways!

A tad rotted in the bottom.

Dropped it over the wall

Then brought up all except the butt piece, thinking I may have to get something bigger down there to move it

Did you drop it on the fence?

What he said above, and I took the fence down first.. it was the only direction I could drop it. Missed all the posts and the big water hydrant though.

Better than what some loggers did for me some years ago. They cut a large oak tree and dropped it across my fence and then pulled the tree, limbs and all, back up the hill and bringing some of the fence with it. They said they didn't mean for it to fall that way, down the hill.

Anytime a tree dont hit the tractor or a power line its a good day. I cant believe you cut down the tree with that tinker toy battery saw, really, I still cant believe it............

So true . . . I dropped a dead (rather large and out here large is big) pine right by one of my gates, power company had to drop a feed line but I still managed to take out the gate and the post holding it.
