I don't think he cares about that... he has a dream and he made it a reality. Still he has plans to improve his "grotto"...

I have a friend that at 76 yo has more dreams and plans for the future than I ever did... I'm glad for those people. You can't take the money with you but that castle will stand for an F-ing long time.

It has high value as a very unique show prop, which wouldn't happen with a conventional build.

Spending money is my thing. If I had the time to drag around a camera with me and edit, the extra cash would be nice.

No. Everyone puts up rusty metal now for accent pieces. 3/8 will take 200 years to rust through, maybe a lot longer on a roof where water will not sit for long.

I put in 600' of 4"x 1/4" steel driveway edging in 20 years ago.
So far, it looks as though it will last for at least another 100+ years.

I find his video's entertaining but that is about it for me.

I don't subscribe to any video's except Lost and Forgotten Places because the host on there is a professional geologist, explains everything in detail and always puts safety paramount. IMO no rummy like most YT video makers are.

Lots of rank misinformation on YT foisted by people who don't have a clue. I avoid most all of them and the ones I do watch are 100% for entertainment only.

Some people just have a brain ,use it, and look at the world objectivly. Not a sheep, follower, subsciber or anything even close. Someone posts YT videos, I have the option of voicing my observations. I have made positive comments as well as negative re: Camarata. If it was all negative, I doubt I would even watch his material. OF course some people want to see things as they want to see them. So be it, I really couldn't care less.

Also, if I am jealous, I say so. Read my posts. How about you? Are you that secure and know who you are?

Yeah, Castle makes a lot of sense. The guy still doesn't have a warm place to work. Can do as he likes, but makes little sense to me.

He is a bit of an eccentric, but a hard working, fun to watch, young eccentric!

One thing I have noticed, all his engines smoke at start up. Until he fixed it, his Ford tractor was rather beat up.

Also, he seems to be a skilled operator. The only accident I recall is when one machine rolled back down his road, he bailed out and the machine eventually overturned.

That wasn’t even his fault. The crane stalled out on a hill loosing steering and brakes in the process.
