Mahindra Engine Service

Any idea how one goes about obtaining a service manual for the engine component on a Mahindra tractor? I have the shop manual however it doesn’t mention much about the engine. Makes one believe the engine doesn’t exist however there is one under the hood and it requires diesel fuel rather than solar, hydrogen or nuclear fuel rods. Year 2019 model 2645 cab.

Dealer told me they do not have a manual for the engine. They do a full long block replacement. Anyone know if that’s true?

Wow does not say much for the engines kinda a throw away..

I find it very difficult to believe they would simply replace the entire engine unless they feel the dealers can’t support diagnosis, rebuilds, head replacements, etc.. I’ve rebuilt many engines so it’s rather difficult for me to comprehend this type of approach.

What engine is it? Perhaps the engine is outsourced and the OEM supplier hasn't authorized Mahindra dealers to service their engines. Sounds absurd but it is very possible. Find out who built the engine and source a service manual there.

I agree - there's something odd that just doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I'll have to try to figure out who makes the engine. I know TYM makes most of the tractor just not sure of the engine manufacture.

I got my Mahindra engine manual years ago from a dealer that is no longer in business, he ordered it for me - it has a Mahindra part number on it even. My manual is for engines in the 10 series tractors (TYM built) and is a VERY good manual, unlike the "shop" manual for the tractor which I also have. It is reminiscent of the old Motors or Chilton professional manuals whereas it has concise drawings and specs and procedures of every aspect of the engine, including injectors & pump, governor etc. and it's even in English !!! I can't believe they don't have manuals for the current engines. My A200 Daedong engine now has 3051 hours on the clock and doesn't use nor leak a drop of oil and starts every time. Other than oil & antifreeze changes I've adjusted the valves once.

Through some research I found the following:

Engine
44 HP; 4-Cylinder Diesel Engine
Mahindra Common Rail Diesel Engine

Sounds like Mahindra built the engine rather than TYM. Thoughts?

it's cheaper that way for the manufacturer.. who cares about the customers any way??.. there are plenty of suckers for a cheap tractor

They don't lose sleep from selling loaders without offering seal kits (or individual pieces) for the cylinders.

Some interesting comments above which have nothing to do with the topic. So to bring this back on track...anyone know of a source where I can validate the manufacture of the engine and possibility obtain a manual?

Doesn't seem to work - pops up a map for selection of dealers.

Update: I played around a bit and did find the listing - it's a listing of part numbers for manuals, parts, etc.. There are two manuals listed I don't have (one being: 11369400020 PARTS CATALOGUE and a second being: ANSBHOM13002 MANUAL SN K30000). I'd be interested in knowing what the second manual actually contains.
