If you have the ability to stockpile some, I see no reason not too. Diesel out here now is 2.45 ish.. gone up a fair amount since the nov implementation. It will be well over 3.00 by this time next year. ..and I think 3.75 will be easily reached in 22/23
Don't bet on the price of diesel for more than a few months.

I have been planning on "stocking" up since we bought our place in Mississippi in 2011. So I would have filled a 300 gallon tote at $4/gallon and been sitting on fuel worth $2/gal. As you can see price dropped off in 2014 and hasn't recovered yet. Fracking and politics came in.
OP should probably get a 50 gal drum, a 275 gallon IBC tote and a good pump system. Fill the 50 and be prepared to fill the tote IF price looks like it is going to jump.
What's the price going to do if we do move to electric cars?
