Congratulations on your new rig.
Purchased a new Mahindra 6065 4WD! Seems to be beefy and sturdy like my other tractor. Ready to put it through the test!View attachment 685180View attachment 685181View attachment 685182
I remember reading some members here had a hard time getting parts.. mahindra makes their own engines..
Congratulations on your new rig.
Nice looking tractor! Enjoy!
I will give you my experience as a past Mahindra owner and current John Deere and Kubota owner. I owned the Mahindra for over 12 years and the local dealer had every part and maintenance item I ever needed in stock. I have only owned the Kubota for 1.5 years and the local dealer had had every item I need in stock. On the other hand I have had wait several times for parts for my JD at a larger corporate dealership.
I see a lot of folks refer to Mahindra as a second or third tier tractor and question parts availability. My experience with my Mahindra was positive. The only part I replaced in 12 years that was not caused by me was a fan belt and a couple of batteries.
I would have bought another Mahindra but the models I was interested in had plastic fenders and I prefer metal tractors.
You'll like that series! Those tractors are beasts. Just an FYI, i have a friend that owns a Mahindra dealership and he says the 6075 and the 6065 tractors are identical other than computer tune. So after warranty expires if you decide you need more HP, they can reflash the computer and get a little more out of them.
@MUDONTHETIRES and @buck12, thank you for sharing your experiences. We have a Mahindra dealer in town 4-5 miles from the property. His rep is stellar in the community. So, we are thinking that when/if/shoud we need another machine, we would strongly look to the Mahindra products. We have the Massey at 33HP.. but we are thinking a 50-60hp machine might be better suited for the land we have and plans we are evolving. I hope to see more posts about these tractors. It helps in decision making. I don't expect us to make a decision for more than a year. We are good for this year. But if a great deal showed up at our gate? We might take advantage of it.
I'm not saying they are unreliable, but if you need engine parts, like a head or pistons or connecting rods or crankshaft, the dealers would have to sell you a long block, as parts are not available..You know, it doesn稚 take much searching to find posts like 溺y uncle bought one of them green ones and it stayed in the shop. I値l never buy one of them. Or.....乃hose orange tractors just ain稚 the same, look at Google reviews and stay away! Or.....乃hose blue ones have too much plastic, I壇 tear it up in a week! I guess my point is that every company makes a few æ¾±ad ones and you should take it with a grain of salt. Besides, if there were the perfect tractor, wouldn稚 someone know about it by now? I致e been in the automobile business over thirty years and by far the comment I mostly hear is çš„ had a friend who owned one of those cars and had nothing but problems. I値l never get one of those. Then I always ask é›»o you know about the other million that were made? Did those have the same problems? I致e had Mahindraç—´ over twenty years with great success and very minor issues. Minor as in a cracked fuel line for under $20.00. I知 happy with my purchase and wanted to share it with you folks. Hopefully no one takes offense to this post, my goal was to let everyone know that most of us know problems happen when you include thousand of moving parts, thatç—´ why mechanics are always employed. However, if the seat time is longer than the down time then youæ±*e probably okay!

Good correct information enjoy your new tractor. Thanks for your input! I just talked with my Mahindra dealer and he said depending on if parts are in stock, age of tractor, type of tractor, etc.... that they'll piece an engine together. If they decide on putting in a block, it's because the tractor is probably older and Mahindra stops making parts after a while. Makes sense. He also stated that his dealership does not like to rebuild engines which sounds like the auto dealership I work for. They always want the customer to go with a new crated motor. So there's that. Coobie, thanks again!!!
nice! good luck and let us know how it goes, I keep looking at the 6000 but the 5100 is overkill for me. when i bought mine i discussed it with my wife at every step and still when it came in she looked at it and said I thought you were getting one of those (pointing at a 1600) lol. not that there is anything wrong with the 1600 series.Purchased a new Mahindra 6065 4WD!
