wngsprd finding ammunition is like finding gold in my back yard. I have not been able to find 22 hornets in over 9 months

I bought two bricks of .22 longs, one is hollow point, for $25 about five years ago from a guy that my son knows in Front Royal. I haven’t bought or looked for ammo in years other than that.
There appears to be plenty of 12 gauge available and not too pricey.

25°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 43° today. Rain didn't turn to snow before ending yesterday, but got windy instead, so the roads had a chance to dry out before the temps dropped below freezing. Quick dump of snow expected tomorrow, maybe 1-2" they say.

Wife sold the Bowflex machine. The people are coming to pick it up tonight. New rower is to be delivered tomorrow.

Glad your wife's issue was nothing too serious, mostly_.

About twice a year, I get scratchy eyes, and they seem to have "grit" in them. When I rub them, I sometimes burst a little vessel, and it makes my eye look ugly, with the white area being blood red. Happened again last night. No pain, just a week to heal.

Ron, what did you get for a new PC? I have been looking at DellRefurbished.com deals. I could use a better laptop, and a newer PC.....it's always something.... ;)

My son had the same with one of his eyes last Friday. Looks bad. But all is OK from eye Dr.

I got this one from Costco.

The HDD has no data on it. Need to figure out how to send all my pictures to it. It is fast. Compared to what will be my standby computer. Which is i3 at about 8k with same memory and no SSD.

They delivered Ellen’s she shed this morning, I love watching them manipulate that trailer, up down side to side, got my entertainment for the morning. I can’t believe how much those sheds have increased in price due to lumber costs.
It’s gone from 37 and rain to 48 and sunshine, might hit 51 later. It’s gotten breezy out, too.
I think I’m going to sneak in a nap while Ellen is helping her daughter pack stuff to move. She took my truck then called asked me to take the recyclables to the bins. That will likely be my biggest job today.

Good morning to all! Low went to 33, going up to mid 40's. The wind did not let up at all yesterday, then last night went into high gear! Top gust recorded at 56.8.... average gusts at 50, continuous at 40-45. I / we did not sleep well for the second night in a row. Not letting up today either.... gusts to 50:mad:

Mostly, glad to hear that your wife is ok.... I am sure that episode was quite the scare! Prayers sent her way.

BEF, hope your brother's CT goes well. Prayers also sent his way.

David, nice to hear some good news... glad Sophie's eyesight checkup went well! My son has an recumbent bike.... by the time I will recuperate enough to take the hike over there.... I won't need it!

Rich, glad to hear you are still progressing forward and getting better.... bummer about going back to work...

Riptides, .....:(:( ... I understand the 'no comment' feelings

With the wind and blowing dirt, I did not go out and work in the shop... just couldn't get the motivation. I am trying to talk myself into going out today....
Dealing with the lack of sleep, the motivation is hard to find....

Hope everyone has a great day!

I have a question for you Texas guys... anyone know any details about "The ranches at Woodland Ridge" ? It is outside of Walnut Springs and Glenrose Tx. They mention paved streets, power and internet, but don't say anything about water. Is there good ground water / wells in that area?

Not a bad price for 5 acres and a dried in "barndominium".... $99K

I / we are seriously considering finding a place like that. If anyone has any suggestions or recommendations, they would be greatly appreciated!

Kyle - I would hope you have your son wearing a helmet. Now is the time to learn the value of good gear when riding!

Not only do I have to go back to work.....I actually physically have to go to work. No working from home in my pajamas! And they want full days....the nerve of those people!

Gonna have to figure out lunch. Being at work can be bad for being careful about eating. Maybe have to carry lunch....a bottle of Ensure and cup of Greek yogurt shouldn稚 strain me that much to pack each day.

Gonna split that trailer load of wood that has been sitting since the weekend I got sick in November. I cut up a pile of logs that have been sitting 2-3 years on a Saturday. Was gonna split that load Sunday but felt like I got hit by a truck. It was downhill from there. At least I covered the trailer with a tarp before I parked it.

Everyone stay safe out there

Had to try a new Ginger Peach muffin recipe. It called for spelt flour and it took me a while to find it. Finally found it at the Natural grocery store in the refrigerated section.

Thanks for the nice comment and most of all welcome to GM.
Can only do 1 out of 3 you mention...whew...no solicitors or noisy people welcome just good friends and all wildlife.

Do you live where there 5 seasons?...5th we call mud season comes after winter. ;)

I would guess shoot guns? We have little to no mud season here. Usually goes from fall to snow and ice overnight. Been in my house for 40 years now with no trick or treaters and when someone comes down my well posted road they better have a darn good reason or your hobby might happen!

Yer gonna fit right in around here, Viking:thumbsup::laughing::welcome:

Morning Geek. This place already feels like an old pair of LL Bean moccasins worn well past its expiration date but you just can't toss them and use the new ones the wife got you for Christmas 2010. Guess you were a victim of the Camp Fire? I had several friends lose their homes in that one also. You can probably guess where I live from the photos I post here. One is from a property that borders mine and I took the mountain shot from a few miles up the road yesterday. 29 and clear this morning with no snow melting today. At least the beer stays cold in the outdoors.

Added name to another covid shot list but don't expect anything soon. Rural people like us get the smelly end of the stick in these matters. The only time they care about us is when they need trees, water or reelection. Long live the undeclared State of Jefferson!mts.jpgcrags.JPG
