I've run one of those BSM's, it was a pretty nice mill...

They do have the head angled a bit, they say it helps the band to pull itself into the cut.

That blade angel might also give a smother cut, it's one of a kind for sure. Now if they just had all the add on features that Norwood has it would be a good contender.

Not sleeping OP. Just doing my normal winter thing with Spruce and Fir. Good winter here for getting around so far. In the shadow of the White Mountains so big coastal storms are fizzles just a lot of little ones. Not to cold either.

Every time I see a mill video I wish I had one but it is to late for more equipment.

That must have been fun cutting that thing that high in the air!

A loader as a work platform helped a lot. And it was obvious which way it was falling as it had a lean and we had clearance to let it go that way.

I was wondering but least your in the woods getting something out. It happens to be prime firewood season with some snow finally on ground and I still haven't been in yet, I keep getting on these rabbit trails but now think I'm caught up so maybe next weekend I'll get in.

Sawmilling is to much work, I thought I'd enjoy it but I rather ride around in the woods. 30 years ago there're use to be all kinds of money in sawing lumber but now I think theres more money in making sawmills.......

Everybody or their brother has a mill... except me. However, I can get custom sawing done for 300$/thousand. Until recently I could cut the trees down, sell them, and buy a kiln dried 2x4 for less money then it cost to saw it. Then I also only pay for what I want, whereas when sawing a tree always seems to end up with a lot more lumber which you may or may not use.
