Flashlight recommendations?

I LIKE that. FINALLY a flashlight that doesn't use stupid, low capacity AAA cells. I hope cosco Canada has those. Have about 8 of the Duracell lights from Cosco that use AAA cells and all experience battery contact issues. Like back to shaking and hitting an .89 cent plastic flashlight of yesteryear. When they work, they work great.

I just got a sofirn sp31 v2.0, it uses an 18650 cell. I'm impressed so far, hopefully it lasts. I too have had a bunch of AA cell lights (14500 too), this definitely out lasts those. (I do like the little nicron n7)

I need a new flashlight for around the homestead. My trusty streamlight has finally seen better days and is ready for retirement (plus I want a new badass flashlight:thumbsup: anyway)

I think I'd prefer one that's not rechargeable, unless someone says otherwise. I've been looking at Zebra Lights, a bunch of hunting buddies have had great luck with them.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Like to keep it under $100, preferably under $75

Best is an LED one for PC, DeWalt, etc.

Didn't read the entire thread but I hope he found one over the last 6 years.

For everyday use (limited time) I've got my cell phone. Other uses where I need more light (either more lumens, longer time or both) I rely on a collection of DeWalt 20V max torches, I've got 3 DCL043's, two DCL044's, 2 DCL050's. They accept ALL my 30v Max batteries from a 2AH to a 12AH. And I always have fresh batteries because I'm invested in about $2,000 or so of DeWalt 20v MAX and FlexVolt tools. All the flashlights were well under $75@ bought on sale.

Still have my 30 year old Makita 9 volt that has crawled through a lot of basements...

Both of my Costco twin packs died... The button in the base took a dump... otherwise I like the light.

Grandpa's old 6v sportsman is still alive... must be 70 years old with sealed beam...

Duracell 700. Best flashlight I've ever owned. Bought in a two pack at Cosco for less than $20.

I might try to find a 1000 to try.

Mine are going on 4 years old and have the original Duracell batteries that came with them. Granted I don't use them on a daily basis but they are holding up great.

I can't understand why some people will pay so much for a flashlight or have one that does not use rechargeable batteries. I have used these Ultrafire flashlights with 18650 batteries for over 10 years and never had one break. They can sit unused in your glove compartment for over a year without discharging. How many times have you needed a flashlight with regular batteries in it and found it non-working with corroded batteries in it?

I have bought about 50 of these over the years and have one in every car, truck, tractor, golf cart, garage, barn, bedroom, hall, kitchen etc. I give them as great birthday and Christmas presents, especially to kids who love them as they are practically unbreakable. They shine as bright as the $75 flashlights. I just buy the Ultrafire batteries and extra chargers when I give them as gifts.

If you check around on eBay you can usually get these flashlights for about $4 each and batteries and chargers for about $2 each. One 18650 battery will easily outlast and outshine 12 AA batteries when used in these lights.

I have a LUMINRG flashlight from Amazon. It is possibly the best flashlight I have owned. It is rechargeable, but, for me, it goes a week or more without needing charged. The cost was less than $10, as I recall.
