Good morning!!!!

Still below freezing at 31 and a high going to 32. Cloudy, too, so snow should stick around. My wife and I just came in from a nice hike in the forest, then had a snowball fight.

Mostly and Sodamo, glad you had good vaccine experiences.

Eric, that's nice looking soft hay.

Time to check if turbotax has updated their forms 1065/K1 yet so I can finish the taxes. Promised yesterday, but the IRS still had delayed part of it.

Got the day off. I did got to Little Rock though and drop off my work truck and picked my truck back up from the shop.

Then ran some errands. Bank was closed today due to that Ice storm that hit Wednesday night. Hopefully they will be open tomorrow.

Supposed to stay below freezing till next Friday. Calling for more snow Sunday night into Monday. Then again Wednesday and Thursday.

Temps are supposed to get up to high 30's Friday and low 40's Saturday. So this mess should be gone just in time for me to head back to Wichita next Sunday

Stopped by Home depot while I was in town. No rock salt, but they did have plenty of water softener salt. Spent 10 minutes when I got home working out my frustrations on the bags of salt picked them up and slammed the bags as hard as I could to pulverize the salt to mix in with the sand.

Sabded the skating rink (driveway) as well as the street in front of my house. And did my good deed and threw some down on the neighbors driveway. Gonna hit the elderly neighbors driveway after I cool off and get some lunch.

Wife and I are going out to eat tonight, so we are gonna pick up probably 6 more bags of play sand just to keep on hand incase this next storm turns to ice instead.

Until a couple of days ago, I thought we were going to almost have no Winter. Guessed wrong again.

Same here Bird, I was looking for some baby tomato plants last weekend, then I heard about this weekend, and that cancelled those plans.

Still below freezing at 31 and a high going to 32. Cloudy, too, so snow should stick around. My wife and I just came in from a nice hike in the forest, then had a snowball fight.

Hope y'all didn't make too big of a mess inside. :)

I just tested positive. Talking with the Physician's assistant, I've probably had it for a few days now. I feel fine. Oxygen at 97% (which is normal for me). Aside from a bit of congestion, I feel great. PA said I might just have cold like symptoms, as I seemed to be healthy. I have been taking Vitamin D3 and Senior vitamins for almost 2 weeks now. Glad I got the firewood chopped on Wednesday. My work has allotted me some extra Covid sick time, but the weather is too crappy to go do something productive outside for the next week.

I'm thankful I don't have an icy driveway with an incline. I am hoping our pond will freeze over, to kill the floating duckweed.

Someone said 30F is nothing. Maybe so, but when it's windy, and sleeting, feels like 25F I'll let them come hang outside and take out the garbage. Haha.

Eric, hope it's a female. They make much better long term mousers. That's why I invested in our "Waffles" orange and white kitty. She likes our barn.

Wifey is making Taco/Nachos today. We had homemade hamburgers yesterday.

I love old muscle cars, and have had the fun of riding in many of them. But, I can't see paying what some do.....unless you have too much money, and you want to be able to ride around and enjoy your investment.

I would take the same $100K and buy a new vette, when they come out with the supercharged edition.

Good morning.
Toppop sorry to hear about your mom and she will be with you and other loved ones who went before her.
Got my first moderna shot Wednesday and arm still a little sore but nothing a Budlight later in the day can't fix. All this talk of old cars got me sentimental about my 1952 Chevy. It was my first truck I bought in 1972 for $250.00. Traded it in 1973 for a 1969 GMC 4x4 which I put a new motor in last year. Original motor had 500k miles on it. It is now a rat wood, ranch truck but purrs like a kitten. Sure wish I had kept the Chevy!m and h.jpg

14 year old Gray2 says he's a better mouser than any girl.

29˚F. the Ice just won't melt. My truck got hit by flying ice from an "outside" car going down the road. I was going in the opposite direction when the sheet of ice flew off his roof, over 3 lanes and hit the hood and grill of my pickup.
No damage but you Northern guys did not warn me of flying ice and frozen mailboxes. Any non-obvious other hazards to watch out for?
