Hey Folks
Just bought a 2008 B3030, 500 hours, was well kept in heated garage. Everytime we started it fired right up during purchase. It was minus 13c & i transported it. Upon arrival it just started & died. Added new Diesel about 5 litres & diesel conditioner (riesol) with no results, cranked n cranked, even jumpstart didnt work. I see filter has frozen stuff inside. Question is 1. Would this need a complete fuel system flush. 2. More importantly Would this have affected the fuel injectors ?
Appreciate. Thanks.

Get it warmed up and drain the fuel system. Add new diesel and filter. Might want to check all the oils too.

are you letting the glow plugs do their job prior to starting?

Definitely change that filter that you say is filled with junk first.

Thank you all, Its gelled diesel due to transport in frigid cold climate.,also diesel isnt new either. Will drain and change filters. But otherwise the tractor has good service maintanence records of oil change/filter change. Yes glow plug was used for a good 6 sec or sometimes even 10 sec.

Use a hair dryer to melt the gel/water. Should start.

Add about 20% kero to the tank if there's room. Otherwise, syphon some out.

Gel will not harm the injectors.

Not sure where your location is, if you can buy some Diesel Service 911 (red container) poor it in the tank, give it some time and it will start, big rigs use it many times - it's started a couple of local tractors that had gelled - after it's running make sure you add the regular Diesel Service (white container).....
