John Deere 870D torsion spring? Or??

Ok folks I hate to say but this spring came off my
JD870 while working and for the life of me I cannot figure out what it is or where it goes back? A torsion spring but where? Thank you for your help all! Andrew

Are you sure it's off the JD? Motor Grader, correct?

Thats what Im thinking also. Curious why the OP thinks it came from his tractor. What happened to the tractor or was this just found and assumed it came from the tractor.

Thanks everyone! Yes, I think it's a baler tine from what I have gathered. It's John Deere Green so when I saw it, I only assumed it came from my tractor based on the color and potential age (it's not new). My tractor is a JD870 so I just assume that a green part laying in my yard must have come off my tractor. BUT after some more research we spread about 25 bales of straw to help with erosion and most likely it came from one of those bales. Since I have never seen one of these before I immediately thought it could have been from my machine, thus the worry.. Thank you for the help!
