Coffee is brewing. 26° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 48° with lots of sun. Yesterday was a interesting weather day. Radar showed my place covered in rain. But no accumulation recorded on weather station or detected on ground. Winds 30+. Thought Sassy was going to get blown away when she went out for her afternoon walk. I stayed in and scanned some more film. Grocery shopping this morning. Then will see what happens after that.
Deer and other critters have most all the feeder droppings cleaned up.

RNG, great picture of old tractor leaving. Had to look up proselytize. Works good on GM.

Don, great pictures. I remember finding Scorpions when we moved paver bricks at your place. Muffin sniffed them out in Jinmas Kitchen. :rolleyes:They make a crunching sound when stepped on.

David, did you make 60" by midnight?

Mostly, how does that work? Reversed gear selection?

Popgadget, glad you got appointment for vaccine.

Everyone stay safe abn healthy.

Good Morning All.

good Friday morning all. Woken up last night by wind and rain beating on roof, about a half inch but seemed like more.
Rain is out of here now and should be a nice sunny day and a dry weekend.

I have a foodshopping trip this morning like Ron.
Then back to put up first of electric fencing. Realized first box of stakes I bought
were too short, 30 inches, and had to reorder another box of 5 footers.

Then later this afternoon off to Doylestown to have a glass of wine with a friend and then my first restaurant dinner out.
Both of us have had both our vaccines, so...will be careful anyway. Since I bought the cruise tickets, she is buying me dinner tonight.
Good deal! ;)

got an estimate on repainting this little 900sf cottage. 6 thousand dollars from local painter/contractor. He sure won't get the job.

Good morning, time for breakfast and a quick rest before I try and move some sheep over. Ewes will follow me anywhere at moment for food, lambs much more reluctant to be evicted from the field they think of as home.

Took my car in for a service yesterday. Previous dealership is no longer Subaru approved, so I opted for one just over an hours drive away, up in the hills in Wales. The scenery there is usually marvellous, unfortunately low cloud blotted out almost everything except the road. I had a four hour wait, which gave plenty of time to explore the area and discover a nice scorpion free walk by a fast flowing river. Lots of people in Wales still proudly use Welsh as their first language, the 12 month road worthy certificate was printed in Welsh, thankfully Sat Nav still talks to me in English.

With the last president, we had frequent airspace closures here whenever he golfed at his NJ club. With the current one, we get restrictions when he comes to Wilmington to visit his dog. Those go from the surface to 18,000 feet
Popgadget, heard his German shepherd was aggressive ...

hadn't appreciated it chases planes too. Perhaps it likes dogfights ?

Good morning, the temperature is 11°F and going to a high of 41. Wind N 3 mph. Sunny!

I am going to make an attempt at cleaning up the basement. I spotted the army trailer at the basement window yesterday and I will hook it back to the Jeep as soon as I go out to load it.

I don't envy anybody that has to deal with scorpions, fire ants, rattlesnakes and copperhead snakes. I like my little safe spot in North America. The only snakes I get to deal with are garter snakes and their cousins, the copper belly water snakes.

Stay safe all

RNG, you’re right, I’m a hard headed Carolinian and I don’t convert easily.

A little over two inches of rain total, about 1.9” after dinner yesterday. We needed the rain, been dry for three weeks, but we didn’t need it all at once. I seeded several freshly filled depressions in the back late yesterday while they were wet from the earlier rain, I guess the downpour will create a pretty green border around them in a couple of weeks where the seed all washed off. Looks like a repeat performance in my near future.
39-45 today, slow warmup starts tomorrow.

No word on UTV or stimulus. I can’t do anything about the latter, but I can tell them how to fit the former where the sun don’t shine.

Have a good day folks.
