A couple of cars I owned, they were pretty cool but I agree, the newer stuff is so much better, I own a 2010 Challenger now.
You bought a car that you can drive, not work on. As much as I like looking at the vintage cars I would do the same, if I ever bought a sports car.Always wanted a 1970,s challenger we purchased a 2018 instead.. Attachments
Had a couple myself , drove the one w/ the 6. Timed the old worn out thing with a vacuum gauge. The frame broke when I went to "trade it in" My friend back in the day had 3 340 Dart Swingers. 1970? Never saw a car that could do as perfect cookies as his. My first car was 70 Roadrunner. Yes, you had to DRIVE these. I saw Coobie posted the Challenger. A friend of mine had both an old one in the day and a new Challenger. Actually 2 new Challengers. The first new one, they were T-boned by a guy in a Yukon. Kids in the back and no one had much more than some aches and pains. That is a testament to the safety technology that is built in.Long time Mopar guy myself. I have a mid 60s Dart...just a slant 6, maintained but never restored. Fun car to drive around in the summer. I tell ya, you definitely get spoiled by modern 4 wheel disc brakes...you really have to plan ahead in something with drums all around!
No trailer queens for me either. I get that the owners put a lot of time and $$ into restoring them, but what good is a car you're afraid to drive?
A farm Jeep with a pto and 3pt hitch is another vehicle I'd like to have.I have a pretty much stock ‘54 Willys jeep. I am careful about who I let drive it and where. Sloppy steering with the shimmy’s, 9” drum brakes of that era, no seatbelts, etc. The only safety feature I can think of is the rear view mirror and it was an option back then, as was the front passenger seat for $46 extra. Kids love it. Not a garage queen.
Jeep, the multi tasking tool. Promotional video from the late 50’s (ish). I’m surprised the tractor concept survived.A farm Jeep with a pto and 3pt hitch is another vehicle I'd like to have.
